Chapter 624

He had been gone for almost a year, and he suffered from insomnia.

He hadn''t had her tea in all that time and missed the taste terribly. Now, he had to admit it: you don''t know what you have until it''s gone. He finally understood how to cherish her, but he felt he was losing her. Their marriage certificate was the only piece of paper tying them together.

And until he uncovered the full truth, he wouldn''t let go.

Natalie''s heart clenched with a sharp pain. She remembered those two years, how desperately she had wished he would just look back at her. Tears welled in her eyes, and she quickly wiped them away. "Sebastian, when you and Joanna were together, it was all about romance, money, and being spoiled. Marrying you was me beingpletely blind."

Sebastian was already unbuttoning his shirt.

He paused at her words, his gaze falling on her tear-streaked face. A dull ache spread through his chest.

He said, "If that''s the kind of rtionship you want, then that''s what we''ll have from now on."

"No! Who wants to be in a rtionship with you? Did I say I wanted that? That''s what Joanna likes. You should just marry her and stop tormenting me," Natalie retorted.

"But I didn''t even hold her hand.. Why won''t you believe me?" Sebastian had finished unbuttoning his shirt. He knew she wouldn''t believe him anyway.

Natalie kept her head down, avoiding his gaze. His words wereughable. "Sebastian, it takes two to tango. You''re both disgusting."

Sebastian took a deep breath. He was in the wrong, so he had to endure it. "Natalie, I''m tired," he said with a yawn, and headed for the bathroom.

Natalie watched him move about so freely, as if this really were his home.

She quickly grabbed her phone and found Joanna''s number.

But then she hesitated. If Joanna knew she lived here, she''d surelye looking for trouble all the time.

    Annoyed, she called Sean instead.

    "Ma''am... Mrs. Griffith..."

Natalie was taken aback. "Who are you calling Mrs. Griffith? Are you outside the vi? Come get your boss What is he thinking, showing up here in the middle of the Aight? He may have no shame, but I do."

    Sean was silent.

When the couple fought, he was always the one who suffered.

"Mrs. Griffith, he is your husband. It''s only right that you two live under the same roof. I''m not outside. Thes president drove there himself

    Ma''am I have to go. I''m look

something for you. I''ll let you know what I find."

Natalie frowned. Sean must be losing his mind, calling her Mrs. Griffith.

She shook her head slightly, stood up, and heard the sound of the shower running. Her brow furrowed.

She really couldn''t figure Sebastian out.

She sat on her soft bed, under the warm, plush silkforter.

It was her favorite bed, her favorite

nket. Back when she''d had a falling out with her grandfather, she had missed him and her three

brothers terribly, but she had also missed this bed.

She flopped onto the bed. The heat was on, making the room cozy and warm, and a

flush rose to her cheeks, making her look even more alluring.

She closed her eyes in frustration. Should she call the police? But Sebastian was still legally her husband.

They wouldn''t believe her if she imed he was trespassing.

"Argh!" Natalie thumped her head against theforter a few times.

Theforter smelled faintly of her own unique, clean scent.

"So tired," she muttered, pulling the covers over herself.

    Just then, Sebastian''s phone rang.

Natalie shot up. The caller ID said Joanna. Delighted, she quickly answered the call.
