The film was incredibly well-made. By the end, Natalie was watching through a stream of tears.
Crystal remained unaware that it was Marico who had truly saved her. In reality, her senior martial brother had schemed to manipte Crystal into "rescuing" Marico— all because Marico possessed the power to suppress the demonic force within her.
But now, Marico was growing weaker by the day. His cultivation had declined sharply, leaving him gaunt yet strikingly handsome-a ssic tragic hero. To make matters worse, he had fallen under the sway of their junior sister Rachel, who whispered to him that Crystal was nothing but a bloodsucking demon.
Rachel constantly plotted against Crystal, but Crystal, aware of her schemes, never med her, because Marico always trusted Rachel unconditionally.
To Natalie, Marico was a reflection of Sebastian, and she deeply empathized with Crystal''s situation.
Just like in the film, Marico would me Crystal for things without reason, all because of Rachel.
Crystal saw that Marico only ever smiled in Rachel''s presence. Even knowing Rachel was malicious, she chose to tolerate it.
Finally, Rachel faked her own death, driving Marico to fully embrace his dark side. d in a ck robe embroidered with flowing clouds, his chiseled face and dark, brooding eyes, bined with his phenomenal acting, made the scene absolutely electrifying.
"Was I ever in your heart? Did you ever feel even a shred of pity for me?" he roared, his eyes red with murderous intent, as he stared down at the wounded Master Crystal on the ground.
Her white robes were stained with blood, as vibrant as the flowers of the underworld.
In truth, it was a conspiracy involving not only the heroine''s senior disciple but also Marico''s junior.
One did it for love, the other for status.
Their schemes had turned the master and disciple against each other.
His junior, Rachel, relentlessly framed Crystal, and Marico''s blind trust in Rachel only deepened the misunderstanding between them.
It had finally led to this—a battle to the death.
Crystaly on the ground, blood on her face and lips, looking both tragic and breathtakingly beautiful.
She looked deeply at Marico and smiled. "Marico, I never knew it. It was not my wish. When I saved you back then, my intentions
Grue
And treated Rachel with sincerity
as well. I never harmed her
"Why won''t you believe me?"
"Hmph! Crystal, I call you Master out of respect, but you havemitted heinous acts. You destroyed Rachel, who was kind to me since we were children. You... deserve to die!"
His sword plunged into Crystal''s heart without a hint of mercy.
Crystal looked at him in agony. She forced herself to sit up.
To Marico''s astonishment, she pulled his sword from her chest.
She looked at the beads of blood. On the brink of death, she didn''t have time for many words. She just looked at Marico with sorrow. Marico I''m sorry. I never did any of the things you used me of regarding Rachel."
"From this day forward, the bond between us is severed."
With those final words, Crystal copsed, her breath gone. A grandmaster of her generation had perished.
Marico stared in stunned disbelief. His master, whose cultivation was unparalleled, had not even tried to dodge his attack.
"No... Why didn''t you dodge? Are you trying to make me feel guilty? Do you want me to live with this guilt for the rest of my life?"
"Why must you be so vicious?"
"Marico, Rachel isn''t dead!"
Marico''s junior disciple ran over, announcing the news excitedly.
"What?" Marico turned his crazed, bloodshot eyes toward him.
???
The junior disciple looked at the master lying on the ground and sneered "You''ve killed this demoness. You can finally be with Rachel. There''s no one to stand in your way now."
