Natalie couldn''t help but let out a softugh. When she smiled, she was breathtaking, andn found himself staring, momentarily stunned. He had seen many beautiful women, but none whoseughter was as pure and lovely as hers. There was no artifice in her, just bright, clear eyes that radiated kindness.
"You''re quite charming, kiddo," she said warmly. "But I''m not looking for a toy boy, nor do I need someone for their strength. I''m helping not because of you, but because of your grandmother. For me, it''s a small effort. But if you truly want to repay me, I have a proposition. I''ll send you abroad to study. When youplete your education, you cane work for mypany. That would be a great way to help me."
"For now, take me to see your grandmother," Natalie said. "My friend is getting a check-up, and I need to go see her soon."
Seeing the genuine goodwill in her smile,n finally let his guard down and led her to his grandmother''s room. It was a small room, shared by two patients.
As they entered,n went to his grandmother''s bedside. “Grandma."
n, you''re back," the woman said. She was in her seventies, with a full head of silver hair. Illness had drained all the color from her face. “I feel fine. Let''s go home." "Grandma, I brought a doctor to see you,”n exined. “Let her take a look, okay?"
His grandmother looked past him at the beautiful young woman and nodded. "Is this youngdy the doctor?"
"Yes."n stepped aside to let Natalie examine her. Natalie sat by the bed, reviewed the medical chart and test results, and then picked up the CT scan. The tumor was quiterge.
But based on her experience, surgery wasn''t the only option. There was another method, one that her hospital was equipped for.
She looked atn. "We need to transfer your grandmother tonight. The procedure needs to be done as soon as possible."
Seeing her serious expression,n knew his grandmother''s condition was severe.
"Doctor, I''m fine," the old woman insisted. “I don''t feel any pain. I can just go home and take some
medicine. Her savings were gone. Her grandson was a brilliant student, and she, an old woman on death''s door couldn''t stand in the way of his future. He had to finish college to have a better life; the boy had already suffered enough.
Natalie reassured her gently. "Grandma, don''t worry. Our hospital
has a program for lucky patients, and you''ve been selected future expenses will be covered. Your condition is quite serious, but you''ll get better with treatment at our facility."
The grandmother was skeptical. Could such a good thing be true? Dr. Wilson had already told her that her illness was incurable. She had lived long enough and couldn''t be a burden to her grandson any longer.
"Youngdy, you''re so beautiful, but please don''t lie to an old woman like me," she said. "I have nothing left but my grandson. It doesn''t matter if↑ get treated or not but he has to as.to go to school. His teachers say he''s very bright..."
Natalie smiled and cut her off gently. "Don''t worry, I''ll take care of his education too.
But you have to promise me you''ll ept the treatment. You want to see your grandson be sessful, don''t you?"
