Chapter 306

    "Threats work both ways."

Natalie''s eyes shed with a murderous glint. "I''ve already died once. Do you really think I''m still afraid of you?"

Sebastian''s expression shifted. Based on his grandfather''s behavior today, it was clear that Natalie was the apple of the old man''s eye. And she, in turn, cared deeply for them.

He smiled, a knowing, wicked look in his eyes. "Natalie, you''ve always known I''m not a good man. If you were truly nning your revenge, you never should have revealed your weaknesses to me."

Natalie closed her eyes. How could she be so foolish, even in this new life?

After a moment, she opened them again, meeting his gaze. "Sebastian, I never saved you, and I was never truly in love with you. Being tied together will only bring us both misery. It only takes a few minutes to get a divorce certificate. It won''t take up much of your time."

At this, a faint smile touched Sebastian''s lips. So, to get a divorce, she was willing to give all the credit to Joanna?

"Heh..." A low chuckle rumbled in his chest, his Adam''s apple bobbing in a way that was dangerously alluring.

Natalie''s gaze was caught in his dark, intense eyes. In his view, she had always been beautiful. She rarely wore dresses, but today''s pink one made her every movement seem effortlessly graceful. She had shed her youthful innocence and now possessed a captivating charm.

They had been married for so long, yet he had never touched her.

He leaned in close, his face just inches from her ear. Before she could react, he bit her earlobe.

"Ah!" Natalie gasped, ring at him in shock.

Her startled cry brought a strange sense of pleasure to Sebastian. "You can''t escape, Natalie," he murmured, his eyes glinting with a cruel amusement. I told you, I will never divorce you in this lifetime."

Natalie could feel his fangs, sharp and ready. The cruel smile on his lips sent a shiver down her spine. "Fine," she retorted. "Then we''ll be

With that, she turned and walked away.

Sebastian didn''t stop her this time. He watched her go, a genuine smile spreading across his face at herst words. This fiery, deRent Natalie was far more captivating.

Just then, his phone rang. It was Joanna.

"Hello, Joanna!" he answered, deliberately raising his voice and ncing at Natalie''s retreating figure. He saw her falter for a split second.

A faint smirk yed on his lips. She still cared.

"Sebastian, I''m being cornered by two men! Sebastian, you have to save me!" Joanna''s voice was frantic.

But all Sebastian saw was Natalie getting into Matthew''s car and driving away. The smile vanished from his face, reced by an icy chill. "Where are you?"

    "Sebastian, I''m near your house."

"Oh. I''ll call the police for you, then. I''m too far away to get back and save you." He hung up without another word.

He did, however, call the police for her. She couldn''t die just yet.
