Chapter 190

"Natty, let''s go home," her grandfather said, his face instantly softening into a look of pure affection.

His mood changed faster than flipping through a book.

Sebastian watched them, a pang of envy in his heart. The old man genuinely cared for Natalie. Sebastian, on the other hand, was alwaysposed and reserved, keeping his emotions in check. He never used terms of endearment with women. The way her grandfather called her "Natty" made it clear how cherished she was.

"Grandpa, who did youe here with?" Natalie asked suddenly.

"Oh! Look at my memory. I almost forgot about Mr. Monroe. Natty, wait here. I want you to meet Matthew''s grandfather. He''s a fascinating old fellow. We''re kindred spirits... no, no, partners in crime. I''ll go get him. He''s going to love his future granddaughter-inw."

Natalie was mortified. “Grandpa, stop it. Even if he were to ept me, it would be in the future. I''m not even divorced yet."

She didn''t want to bebeled an adulteress. Matthew was a good man, but not so good that she was ready to marry him on the spot.

Her grandfather considered this. "Heh, you''re right. Well, you can just get to know each other for now. We''ll do a formal introduction after your divorce."

He scurried off happily, not giving Sebastian a second nce.

Natalie breathed a sigh of relief. As soon as her grandfather was gone, she turned to leave, pulling out her phone to call him.

"Grandpa, something came up, I have to go. We''ll meet Grandpa Monroe another time. It would be rude to meet him for the first time without a gift."

"You worry too much, little girl. He''s family, no need for gifts. But you do have a point. We are people of status; it''s only polite to bring a gift. You go on home. Grandpa''s going to stay and have some more fun.”

Natalie felt another wave of relief that her grandfather didn''t press the issue.

After hanging up, she sent a text to her bodyguard, telling him to watch over her grandfather.

    Once outside, she called Luna.

"Luna, ten models will being to the office tomorrow morning. Send them the contracts. If they agree to the terms have them stay they be walking in the winter fashion show.”

    "Understood, Miss," Luna replied.

With that settled, Natalie felt a sense of aplishment. She had ten male models, but she still needed ten female models the search would be difficult, and she knew the next few days would be hectic.

As she waited for a car by the side of the road, Sebastian''s voice cut through the

    air. "Natalie,e back with me."

She scoffed. "To where? To watch you and Joanna being all lovey-dovey?"

"I take care of her because she saved my life and because we grew up together,"

Sebastian said, his voice cold. "I have no romantic feelings for her."

His words made herugh, a bitter, hollow sound. "Sebastian, put your hand on your heart and ask yourself if that''s true. At her birthday party you saw the truth, yet you still carried her out when she faked fainting."

"You left me there to be humiliated by everyone. As my husband, you just stood by and let it happen."

"Sebastian, if you make a mistake, just admit it. Making excuses only makes you look more pathetic and dishonest."

The memories flooded back, and Sebastian had to admit he had gone too far. Joanna was just too good of an actress.

"Natalie," he said suddenly, "the man in the photos Joanna sent you wasn''t me. Do you believe me?"
