Chapter 166

Mrs. Zade did her best to sling mud at Natalie.

Natalie watched her, a woman beating her chest and stomping her feet in a gut- wrenching performance, as if she were the real victim.

"Tsk," Natalie clicked her tongue. "I''ve met people living in the past, but I''ve never met someone with a brain stuck in the Stone Age. The evidence is all at the police station. I envy you; soon you''ll be able to have a family reunion dinner all by yourself at a table set for one."

Mrs. Zade choked, the tears instantly drying up.

"Ms. Sanders, did you really know Mr. Zade? Was there an inappropriate rtionship between you?" a male reporter aggressively pushed forward.

Natalie looked him up and down. "A question like that... how much did they pay you?"

The reporter stamped his foot in anger. "I didn''t take any money! I''m just reporting the facts!"

Natalie smirked. "I was just asking. No need to get so defensive. I can tell this is your first time doing something like this. Your eyes are darting around more than a QR code scanner."

"But it takes two to tango," the reporter insisted.

Natalie''s patience snapped. She pped him hard across the face. "Does it? I just pped you. Did that not make a sound?"

The crowd fell silent. What a fierce woman.

"You... you hit me?" the reporter stammered, his eyes wide with disbelief.

Natalie stood there, arrogant and defiant. "You insulted me to my face. Am I supposed to just step back and let it go? You can step back. I won''t." She had a right to be angry, so why should she show mercy?

Another female reporter rushed forward, her tone usatory. "Ms. Sanders, you should be more forgiving. This mother is a disabled woman. You ought to show somepassion."

Natalieughed at the sheer audacity. She red at the woman. "Compassion? What''s that? Something where I have to make myself miserable just to make you happy?"

She turned to Luna. "Luna, get a picture of every one of these reporters'' faces. I want you to run a check on each of them, find out who sent them. I want to teach them that ''what goes around,es around'' isn''t just a saying."

Luna pulled out her phone and started snapping photos.

A middle-aged male reporter grew angry. "Ms. Sanders, we heard that you were the one at fault, that you were being taught a lesson when you were kidnapped. Can''t you consider the plight of a disabled mother?"

Natalie immediately shot back, "Why should I consider anyone else''s feelings? When I was being bullied and kidnapped, did anyone consider mine? You love thinking about others so much, why don''t you take this disabled mother home and support her yourself?"

The male reporter was left speechless. He could barely support himself, let alone someone else.

    Natalie eyed the seven reporters.

They had to have been hired by

Joanna. In her past life, she had

    Inher

    been surrounded and verbally

abused by reporters in the exact same way The excuse was simple: karry had imed she was his girlfriend who had cheated on him, and that''s why he had tried to run her over. This time, she hadn''t hesitated to send him straight to prison.

Her gaze was cold. "I don''t care why you''re here. None of you are leaving today."

A few of the reporters snickered.

The female reporter from before scoffed, "What''s that supposed to mean, Ms. Sanders? Are you going to hold us captive?"

Natalie calmly pulled out her phone

and dialed the police. After reporting the incident; she looked at the reporter "Captive? Do you think you''re that important? I''m not

holding you captive, im justinviting, you to wait for the police."
