Chapter 99

At her words, Sebastian let out a soft, mockingugh. "Natalie, you''re overthinking it. I''m not clinging to you. You are my wife. Since we''re not divorced, you should be living at home."

"A loveless marriage? How do you expect me to go back? I will not go back with you." In this life, she would rather die than be with this man again.

Sebastian narrowed his eyes, his patience wearing thin. He abruptly threw open the car door and strode toward Natalie. She instinctively took a step back, but he lunged forward and swept her into his arms.

Natalie gasped. Sebastian never touched her.

“Sebastian, what are you doing? Put me down!"

He tightened his grip on her legs, his voice a low warning. "Natalie, if you don''t want Q&N Collective to exist, then keep struggling. A smallpany like that? I can bankrupt it overnight."

"You..." Natalie never dreamed he would resort to such a threat. Thank God she hadn''t revealed her true identity.

Seeing his threat had worked, Sebastian was satisfied. He carried her to the car. Perhaps it was herment about Matthew being the most impressive man in her heart that had provoked him to use force.

Once inside, Natalie immediately brushed off the ces he had touched. The sight of him now filled her with disgust.

Sebastian saw her gesture, and his expression turned grim. She was repulsed by him.

    "Natalie, you..."

"Don''t talk. I don''t want to hear your voice. If you need a woman, I''ll call Joanna for you." She took out her phone to dial.

Sebastian''s brow furrowed in displeasure. He snatched the phone from her hand. "What does Joanna have to do with us? Why are you calling her? Natalie, have you lost your mind?"

His furious roar stunned her. “Tsk. If your precious childhood friend knew I was going home with you tonight she would be plotting against me by tomorrow. The two of you are truly despicable. Do you have to torture me to feel happy?"

"Natalie!" Sebastian yelled. "Do you have to be so venomous?"

"Do you have to be so vile? You framed me time and time again. I was your wife in name, but you never once stood me. You were always one of my tormentors. What right do you have to even show your face to me?"

"Oh, I get it. Your face is pale. Your stomach problems must be acting up again. You want to drag me back to be your unpaid caregiver. I did that for two years and didn''t get a single penny."

    "We..."

"Don''t you dare say we''re married," she cut him off coldly. "You never once acknowledged me as your wife. So don''t use that excuse to not pay me."

Sebastian scowled. The woman''s words were sharp, each one a dagger to the heart. He looked at the unfamiliar emotions on her beautiful face. The Natalie before him tonight was a stranger.

Her phone rang. It was Luna.

"Luna, you go on ahead. Tell my grandfather I''m fine and that I''ll be hometer."

"Boss, I saw Sebastian take you," Luna said anxiously.

"I know. Don''t worry, I''ll be fine. Just tell my grandfather I''m busy withpany business. Don''t tell Wayne."

    "Okay."

After Natalie hung up, Sebastian''s chilly voice filled the car. "You have a grandfather? A family? Why did you never tell me?"
