Chapter 34

Natalie''s smile twitched. It was their first meeting. How could she possibly know if she liked him?

Before she could answer, her grandfather continued, "Hehe... Well, it''s good if you like him, Natty. But if you don''t, that''s fine too! You were always talking about building your own harem, and you haven''t even started yet."

"I''ve scouted a few handsome young men recently. If you like, you can take them all home and have some fun," he said, patting his chest proudly. "There''s the elegant, artistic type, the muscr type, the mature, older man type, and the fresh-faced pretty boy type. I guarantee, each one is more handsome than thest. You''ll love them. Want to go see them now? I can take you."

Natalie was speechless. Queena''s jaw dropped. The old man was wilder than most people her age. Was he serious? She then realized it had been a long time since her grandfather had called her ''Natty.''

Her eyes welled up. "Not tonight, Grandpa. Tomorrow."

The words had barely left her mouth when a chilling presence washed over her. She looked up and saw Sebastian standing across from them. She froze. What was he doing here? He must have heard what she and her grandfather were talking about. Good. The more he heard, the better. They were divorced, after all. Grandpa is the ultimate wingman! she thought, a thrill running through her.

She straightened up, ignoring the icy re radiating from Sebastian. That man only saved his gentle expressions for Joanna. She happily looped her arm through her grandfather''s, her smile brighter than a flower. "Grandpa, Queena, let''s go home. Mr. Monroe and I agreed to meet again tomorrow. He just got back to the country and doesn''t know his way around, so I offered to show him the sights."

Mr. Sanders Sr. beamed. "That''s wonderful! Natty, you have excellent taste. That boy is handsome and debonair. He''s so good-looking he could get away with murder. And with a granddaughter as beautiful as mine, he won''t stand a chance. You''ll have him wrapped around your finger without even trying."

Natalie''s jaw dropped. Grandpa''s really hamming it up tonight, isn''t he?

    "Although," he continued, "being that

handsome should be illegal. From now on, he ca

    can only be that

handsome in front of you, so other little girls don''t get any ideas. Pfft, as faman my granddaughter res would ever look at another woman. Matthew isn''t apdog like Sebastian."

Sebastian, who had just been hit by a stray bullet, flinched.

"Grandpa, let''s just go home," Natalie said, ughing helplessly.

Sebastian stepped in front of them, his handsome face dark with anger. "Natalie, we need to talk."

She looked at him, feigning confusion. "What is there to talk about? We''ve already said everything that needs to be said. When I left, I didn''t take a single thing from the Griffith family home-not even the clothes on my back. What, do you want money?"

Sebastian''s brow furrowed. Did she think he was that petty? "We are not divorced yet," he stated, his voice cold.

"Oh, that''s your problem. You signed the divorce agreement first, and I signed it too. All you need to do is have Sean file the paperwork. Or do you need me to meet you at City Hall tomorrow morning?" She was more than willing to cooperate. Anything to finalize the divorce. Joanna was his destiny, and tonight''s events wouldn''t change his feelings for her. In her past life, Sebastian had been forced to marry Joanna after her death. Even without that maniption, he would have married her eventually. He was always meant to be with Joanna.

This time, she wouldn''t stand in the way of their "true love," nor would she interfere with Wendy and the others on their path to self-destruction.

Seeing her determination, Sebastian asked again, his voice tight, "You really want this divorce?" The image of herughing with another man ignited a storm of anger inside him.

Natalie thought he must be insane. Wasn''t he the one who had been pushing for this all along?

    "Sebastian, you''re the one who

wanted this. I''m giving you a

Joanna my blessing. You two are a perfect match, a golden couple made in heaven. I wish you a long and happy life together, with many children. So, Mr. Mistake, there''s nothing left for us to talk about. Goodbye."
