Hearing Hannah''s words, he instinctively wanted to argue but found himself at a loss for a rebuttal.


    It was just as Hannah said. When they met, they talked in circles, saying the same things. It was nothing more than ''forgive me'' and ''I promise it won''t happen again,'' and nothing else.


    So saying anything was pointless and useless. Besides, if they met and the conversation went sour, they would just end up fighting again.

    Before Lionel could even react, he heard the dial tone. He was left in a daze, unsure of what Hannah really meant.


    Why did she want him to investigate Quennel? Hannah trusted Quennel so much, why would she ask him to investigate him at a time like this?


    Could it be that Quennel had done something now that their court date was approaching, trying to sabotage things?
