Chapter 664

Lionel tried to retrace his steps, wondering what had happened. This kind of thing had never urred before.

"When did everything start getting so weird?" he mumbled to himself, sitting on the edge of the bed.

He slowly lifted his gaze to the view outside the window, and suddenly, an idea began to form in his mind.

"It all started after I began working with Cherry! Everything went wrong then!"

The words escaped his lips unconsciously. As he said them, he shot to his feet, his eyes wide as he stared ahead.

"That''s it! Everything became incredibly strange after I partnered with Cherry!"

    Yes, that was it!

There had been some coincidences before, but it was only after his coboration with Cherry began that so many bizarre things started happening.

This meant Cherry was likely the key figure behind all these strange events.

Could it be that Cherry had betrayed him? Had she gone over to Hannah''s side?

Although he couldn''t prove she was directly responsible for what happened at Quennel''s house, she certainly had the opportunity to pass along information about other matters to Hannah.

If Cherry had really switched sides, then her continued partnership with him was just a front. She was acting as a spy, gathering intelligence from him and feeding it to Hannah.

That would exin how Hannah knew so much about his ns, how she could even anticipate his moves!

He had initially dismissed the idea because Cherry had openly argued with and bullied Hannah, making it seem unlikely they would get along. But what if Cherry had offered to be a spy as a way to win back Hannah''s favor?

The more Lionel considered this, the more panicked he became. He grew increasingly certain that Hannah had nted a mole right beside him.

It seemed that the next time Cherry came to visit, he would have to test her loyalty.

However, Lionel had no idea that as he was muttering to himself, a member of the cleaning staff who hade to tidy up his room had seen and heard everything.

The cleaner finished her work, left

the room, and walked to a break-

area. She pulled out her ph

Back at the Temple family estate.

Cherry had just finished dinner when she received a message from the nurse.

Her eyes lowered slightly as she read the contents. After a moment of thought, she looked up at Hannah and Samuel at the dinner table.

"Lionel has started to suspect me," she announced. "He''ll probably try to test me the next time we meet."

Although she had anticipated this possibility, she hadn''t expected him to catch on so quickly.

If she hadn''t arranged for people to monitor Lionel''s every move, she would have been caughtpletely off guard.

And if she had gone to see him unaware, a simple test might have been enough for her to reveal her hand.

While she wasn''t afraid of him discovering her role as a spy, the main problem was that once she was exposed, getting close to him again would be incredibly difficult.

More importantly, she wouldn''t be able to get any more interesting information out of

him, which would take a significant amount of fun out of her life.

"Hannah, what do you think I should do? Should I keep seeing him and pretend I

don''t know anything, or something else?"

Cherry honestly wasn''t sure how to respond to this new development.

She was confident she could keep up the act and not give herself away. The problem was, even if his first attempt to test her failed, he would undoubtedly try again and again. Enduring constant tests would

    be exhausting.
