Chapter 617

Samuel had always thought of Cherry as a spoiled rich girl who looked down on people, but he never imagined she had so many tricks up her sleeve.

    One scheme after another!

“Why are you looking at me like that? You think I''m being too cruel, too vicious?"

Cherry saw the shocked look on Samuel''s face and said through gritted teeth, “I''m doing this for Hannah, and for myself."

Of course, she couldn''t im it was all for Hannah; she had her own selfish

    reasons.

Standing outside the car with her arms crossed, Cherry scoffed. "If you think what I''m doing is out of line, then maybe you should think about how Hannah was treated for thest three years!"

"What I''m doing to Lionel, to be blunt, doesn''t even count as emotional distress. I''m just giving him a taste of his own medicine!"

Deep down, Cherry''s heart ached for Hannah.

She had met the man she loved most in herte teens and dedicated years of her

life to him, only to be rewarded with a misunderstood marriage, neglect, and bullying, while his mistress walked all over her for three whole years.

So what if she was messing with him now?

Compared to what he did, she''s hardly crossing any line at all.

The cruel things Lionel had done to Hannah over the past decade numbered in the thousands!

Even if she went tit for tat, she still had a long way to go.

"You''re right. And I don''t think you''re being cruel at all. What Lionel did was far worse,"

Hannah said calmly. Inparison, what Cherry was doing was merely toying with him.

    But...

Samuel quickly waved his hands. "That''s not what I meant. I''m not saying you''re going too far. I just thought you were only capable of petty, childish things. I never realized you were this clever and could pull something like this off."

Samuel was afraid that if he didn''t exin himself, Cherry would badmouth him to Hannahter.

It wasn''t that he thought what Cherry was doing was too cruel; he was just genuinely surprised.

    "I know. I didn''t misunderstand you,"

Hannah said with a smile, seeing

    Samuel''s nervous and fearful

expression. “We''re family. Everything youre doing is to help me. No matter how cruelt seems, Lionel

    brought it all on himself!"

"Exactly! You''re absolutely right!" Cherry nodded vigorously. "I''m going to see my parents now, so I won''t go with

    bao guys see yo

Cherry waved goodbye and headed toward her parents''pany.

Now that she had secured such a great source of leverage, she had to share the news with her parents right away.

Samuel and Hannah also left the hospital.

None of them knew that in a nearby building, someone had been watching them through a pair of binocrs.

Only after they left did the person lower the binocrs.

    "Time to report."

    "Yes, sir!"

    The Rosenberg Group.

Quennel had just finished a meeting when he received a message.

He opened it with a nk expression, read it, and then silently closed it.

"Mr. Rosenberg, you don''t look well Are

2 you feeling sick?” his secret

    with concern, noticing his

    SW pale

    face

"Lionel was beaten up and is in the hospital. Cancel my afternoon appointments. I''m going to see him."

The secretary froze for a few seconds, finding it hard to believe what she had just heard, but she quickly recovered.

    "Yes, sir!"
