Chapter 599

In the beginning, the Temples believed every letter and message, sending money and dispatching investigators.

But they soon discovered that all of them were frauds. After that, they handed any such messages over to a specialized team.

They couldn''t afford to ignore even the slightest possibility, just in case a genuine clue was hidden among the lies.

If they missed a real lead, the consequences would be unthinkable.

However, after a few years, messages about Cheryl became rare. Hardly anyone contacted them anymore.

It seemed everyone knew that using Cheryl''s disappearance as a scam no longer worked on them.

It was baffling that after all this time, someone was trying to use the same old trick again.

But regardless, since a message had arrived, they had to investigate it thoroughly. What if, by some miracle, she was really in their hands?

“Hannah, what are you thinking? Don''t tell me you''re nning to go alone. This is obviously a trap. People have been trying to scam our family like this for years."

Seeing Hannah''s silence, Samuel grew even more worried.

Was she really nning on walking into this by herself? It was incredibly dangerous. What if they had an ambush waiting for her?

Just as Hannah was about to speak, Cherry came downstairs.

She walked over to Hannah, nced at the photo and the letter, and then, as if an idea had struck her, she chuckled.

"This does look a lot like a trap. But I''ve thought of a brilliant solution."

Samuel eyed her suspiciously. "What kind of solution?"

"It''s simple. Just send Lionel. If he refuses, tell him you''ll never see kim again. If he''s not even willing to help with this, then it''s he over. And if

agrees to help, well, that''s just

    perfect."

Hannah and Samuel stared at her for a long moment, not quite grasping what she was saying.

    Seeing their nk expressions,

Cherry borated, "You two aren''t divorced yet, you''re just separated So you''re still basically fait norman to ask him to check on his own rtives and make sure they''re safe? Is there a problem?"

Cherry''s tone was smug. "Besides, he has to go alone. If he gets hurt, that''s his problem. We should nt a bug on him so we can hear everything they say. Right now, that man would do anything to get back in your good graces, so why not let him handle the dangerous stuff?”

Cherry finished with a triumphant raise of her eyebrows.

After a few seconds of stunned silence, Samuel stared at Cherry in disbelief, then gave her a thumbs-up.

"Leave it to you toe up with something so devious. But I have to admit, it''s the best n we''ve got."

At first, Samuel thought it was too cruel, but then he thought about everything Lionel had done to Hannah, and this seemed like nothing inparison.

Most importantly, he was a Rosenberg.

Even if he got hurt, the Rosenbergs would never let it slide.

In fact, the kidnappers might just confess everything when they realized they were dealing with a Rosenberg.

Either way, sending Lionel was a much better option than sending Hannah.
