Chapter 586

When Hannah and Samuel arrived home, Cherry was already there.

The moment Cherry saw them, she jumped up excitedly and rushed over.

"Oh my god, I can''t believe all this interesting stuff happened while I was on vacation! If I had known, I would have just stayed home."

Samuel gave her an unapologetic eye-roll.

"What''s it to you? You''re just here for the gossip. Or were you nning on getting involved?"

Cherry quickly waved her hands. "No, that''s not what I meant. It''s just that everything sounds so wild and dramatic. It''s a shame I couldn''t witness it firsthand."

She''d consumed so much gossip in her life, and now, for the first time, the drama was happening in her own family!

"Even if you were home, we wouldn''t have let you listen in. You would''ve had to hide and eavesdrop!"

Samuel''s eyes widened as he continued, "And don''t you get any funny ideas about stirring up trouble! Cherry, you keep your nose out of this, you hear me?"

He jabbed a finger in her direction for emphasis.

After all, Cherry was the ssic spoiled heiress who lived for drama, gossip, and entertainment.

Hannah just smiled without saying a word, settling into an armchair. A maid brought her a freshly brewed cup of coffee. She took a small sip. After a moment of silence, she finally spoke.

"It seems you''re very interested in my affairs. In that case, how about this: the next time Lionel tries to contact me or shows up here, you can go and meet him for me. My vacation is almost over, and don''t have time to waste on him."

"Hannah, that''s a bad idea. This is your business. How can you let her get involved? She might betray your again Don''t you remember how she treated you when you first came back?"

At the mention of her past behavior, Cherry immediately became defensive. "I had just gotten back then, and I didn''t fully trust her yet!"

The thought of getting involved in such major drama was an opportunity Cherry was not about to pass up.

"And besides, there was so much going on with her... Anyway, I just didn''t have all the facts, which is why I made a mistake. And I apologized for itter, didn''t I?"

Cherry batted her eyshes at Hannah obsequiously. "Trust me get it now. I know how great Hannah is, and don''t have anything else to do Hannan has to go back to work, so just let me help her with this."

"Making people''s lives miserable and humiliating them? Yeah, that''s kinda my specialty."

That was no exaggeration. She was a genius at it. Rich, bored, and with a safety of people to clean up her messes, she had always been brazen and reckless. Samuel knew exactly what Hannah was doing.

If she had asked Cherry for help directly, who knew if the girl would have cooperated properly?

But by provoking her, by stoking her anger, Cherry would be determined to prove herself to Hannah.

She was desperate to do something meaningful to make Hannah see her in a new light and forget her past mistakes.
