It was surreal, seeing the man who had once been her husband now sopletely unhinged.
Hannah thought for a moment before speaking slowly.
"What is there for me to feel? It just seems like he''s always been this way. If he truly had me in his heart, do you think he would have gone to Sandra for advice, asking her to be his strategist?"
Hannah looked at Samuel and asked, "Let me ask you this. If you did something wrong to a girl and wanted her forgiveness, would you ask your mistress for advice or would you look it up online?"
Without a second thought, Samuel replied, "I''d definitely just look it up online. I mean, there are so many tutorials for everything these days, even for making handcrafted gifts."
The moment he instinctively said that, Samuel realized something horrifying.
"Hannah, does he not have you in his heart at all, even now? Is he just afraid of the humiliation of a divorce after all this drama, so he''s trying to avoid it purely to save face?"
When Hannah posed the question, Samuel''s immediate thought was to search for information online, or at worst, ask his friends.
Failing that, he could ask Hannah or his mom; someone would surely help hime up with a n.
But asking a mistress for help was just bizarre. It was as if he couldn''t be bothered to think for himself, so he just tossed the problem to someone else.
If you truly love someone, how could you be unwilling to even use your brain for them?
After saying this, Samuel looked at Hannah in astonishment.
Hannah nodded.
"Yes, you''re right. It''s exactly as you think. He doesn''t love me at all, even now. Don''t you find it hrious that he needs someone else to figure out
how to solve problem?"
"To transfer Tess back? He didn''t ask what I thought nor did he ask Tess Hejust assumed that doing so was for my own good." >
"He thought would be happy. But then Tess called to refuse the transfer and he immediately ca

painte over. He must have told Sandra about it, and she gave him the idea toe and talk to me."
As she spoke, Hannah couldn''t help but let out a long sigh.
"His heart isn''t in it, yet he constantly acts as if he''s doing everything for my sake. I despise that."
To be blunt, if this had happened before she signed the divorce papers, she would have been ecstatic, even knowing the truth.
After all, it would mean he was at least willing to put on a show for her.
But things were different now. She simply didn''t care anymore.
The only reason she let him stay earlier was to see what other tricks he had up his sleeve.
If she hadn''t asked, she never would have known he was capable of pulling such a baffling, ridiculous stunt.
On the way home, Lionel drove with a restless mind, lost in a daze.
His thoughts were consumed by everything that had happened between them that day.
At first, he hadn''t thought anything was wrong, but as Hannah spoke, he too began to feel how strange the situation was.
When Sandra saw Lionel return, she hurried over to him, eager to know if the advice she''d given had been helpful.
