Hannah, however, didn''t say a word. She simply picked up the coffee a servant had prepared, and took a leisurely sip. She seemed as rxed as if she were admiring a work of art, in no hurry to hear what they had to say.
Seeing Hannah''s indifference, even Sandra started to feel anxious.
"Lio... Lionel, don''t you have something to say to Hannah? She''s here now. What are you just standing there for? Say it! I''m in so much pain, I just want to go back home. Hurry up and talk to her."
When Lionel remained silent, Sandra couldn''t help but shout at him.
Her outburst made Hannah raise an eyebrow, a thoughtful look on her face.
It seemed that after everything that had happened, Sandra couldn''t be bothered to pretend anymore. In front of Lionel, she had always yed the part of the perfect, gentledy, a model wife. But now, her true colors were showing.
"Hannah, I was wrong to send a servant to talk to you before. I wasn''t thinking clearly. That''s why I''ve brought Sandra to see you myself. I told you I would find her and bring her back to apologize to you. I may not have caught her then, but I''ve caught her now."
Sandra flinched at his choice of words. It was as if he was talking about capturing a criminal to present to his master.
Though his words stung, Sandra decided not to argue about it. It was pointless.
More importantly, she could sense that Hannah had lost interest in her. All Hannah wanted was a divorce. So, it was probably best for her to say as little as possible.
As this thought crossed Sandra''s mind, a dark glint appeared in her eyes, and a bold idea began to form.
She lowered her gaze slightly, her eyes darting to the side to give Lionel a meaningful look.
He wasn''t going to protect her anymore, so why should she stick to his script? Besides, she was free now. It was time for her to start looking out for herself.
"Mr. Rosenberg, if that''s all you
came here to say, then please leave.
I''m very busy have a show.
watch soon and I don''t have time to
listen to your nonsense."
Lionel nodded, finding it hard to ept how much Hannah had changed. She used to be so gentle and kind, always on his side. Now, she pushed him away at every turn. He couldn''t get used to this new Hannah.
"Today, I found Sandra in the basement of the ruined house. I brought her here specifically so she could tell you herself who kidnapped her."
"So she could tell you that everything she''s been through was orchestrated by someone you trust," Lionel finished, turning to look at Sandra.
"Tell Hannah everything that happened. Don''t you dare hide a single detail."
Sandra took a deep breath, looking from Lionel to Hannah.
"Lionel, at this point, I don''t see any reason to y along with you anymore, she said. "The person who kidnapped me and locked men that cell... was you, Lionel."
