Chapter 517

If his only goal was to leak the information just to make me suffer by showing me that Lionel wouldn''t—or couldn''t find me, then he''s already seeded. There would be no need to keep revealing more.

So why was he still leaking information?

    What was his real objective?

Sandra still couldn''t figure it out, couldn''t make any sense of it. Everything this man did felt utterly bizarre.

"Don''t worry, since I''ve already revealed your location, my intention is for him to find you and get you out. As for you telling him that you were abused here, say whatever you want. If you can find someone who believes you, and if you can bear the consequences, then by all means, talk."

Quennel said with apletely nonchnt air.

The more Sandra looked at his brazen arrogance, the more terrified she became, possessed by a growing sense of dread. She felt certain he was plotting something terrible behind the scenes.

But no matter how she racked her brain, she couldn''t figure out what it was.

Sandra thought for a moment, then decided to stop dwelling on it.

"Fine, do whatever you want. But you said you had news for me. What is it? You said it was good for you, but not so good for me?"

    Sandra changed the subject deliberately.

Quennel told her about how Hannah had gone to her grandmother''s house that afternoon.

"So, you''re trying to tell me they had

    ''

a massive fight? That Hannah won''t forgive him, and even his grandmother''s intervention was useless? How is that not good news for nie? Their divorce would be the best news I could hope for I can''t wait for them to split up."

A sh of disgust crossed Quennel''s eyes as he stared at her, clearly bewildered.

"I think you''re missing the point. What I''m saying is, he only has eyes for Hannah now, not you. Get it?"

Sandra burst outughing. "You''ve got it all wrong," she said. "The more he acts like this, the more Hannah will despise him. And if she refuses to staywith him, my chances with Lionel will only get better, right? You, stiff don''t understand."

Listening to Sandra''s delusional rambling, Quennel''s expression darkened. He felt like a fool for even telling her any of this. The woman was utterly hopeless, incapable of understanding anything.

"He''s doing all this precisely because he loves Hannah. He only wants her, and he only wants to be with her. Even if they do end up divorced, he would never get back together with you."

"You should be filled with regret. After everything you''ve done all these years, it turns out he doesn''t love you at all. You mean nothing to him!"

Sandra was startled by Quennel''s sudden emotional outburst, but she quickly recovered.

She yelled back at him, "Given

Lionel''s current situation, don''t even think Hannah will grant him an easy divorce! And as long as she doesn''t, you''ll never have her! I love Lionel, and at least I had the guts to act.on it But you? What have you ever done? Nothing but shamelessly spy on her from the shadows!"
