Chapter 504

Seeing the familiar car and the familiar man standing beside it, both Hannah and Samuel''s expressions darkened.

Samuel whispered, "I knew this guy wouldn''t just give up quietly."

    Hannah nodded in firm agreement.

With a look of disgust and contempt, Samuel red at the man and continued, "Back in the city, when he stayed at the same hotel as us, he called it fate. Now he magically knows our arrival time and is waiting here with his car. Don''t tell me this is also ''fate,'' or that he just happened to be passing by, or that he''s been staking out the airport every day just to be the first to greet us. If he says something that stupid, I''ll know for sure he''s lost his mind."

Hannah thought to herself that even Lionel, as messed up as he was, probably wouldn''t say something like that.

She nned to ignore him and walk away, but just as they were about to turn, Lionel spotted them. He waved excitedly and strode over.

    "Hannah, you''re finally back!"

Hannah remained silent, her beautiful face devoid of any expression as she simply looked at him.

It was Samuel who spoke first. "What are you doing here? You haven''t been camping out here every day waiting for me and Hannah, have you?"

Lionel nodded without hesitation. "That''s right. I didn''t know when you wereing back, so I''ve been setting aside some time every day to wait for you at the airport."

Upon hearing this, Hannah and Samuel exchanged a look.

Their expressions instantly shifted from speechless to bursting withughter.

"Hannah, see? I told you he was an idiot. He''spletely shameless now. He''ll say anything. I''ve never met anyone so stupid in my life."

Hannah nodded in agreement. She wondered if her past love for him had created a filter, making everything he did seem wonderful.

But now that the filter was gone, everything he did just seemed pathetic.

Otherwise, who in their right mind would say something like that? Why not just admit he had checked their flight information to be here at the right time?

Lionel ignored their chatter and, with practiced ease, reached for Hannah''s suitcase.

"I''ve booked a restaurant. It''s dinner time, so let''s go together. I''ve been investigating some things these past few days. We can talk while we eat."

"Lionel, as one man to another, I have to say, I''m genuinely impressed by your shamelessness. I really want to know, how do you manage it? Hannan clearly despises you, yet you always act like nothing has happened and try to get close to her."

Samuel''s question seemed toe from a ce of genuine curiosity. He truly wanted to know how anyone could be so utterly shameless. It was, in a way, admirable.

    "Whatever you''ve been investigating

is your business. Don''t tell us about

it, unless you''re ready to sign the divorce papers. Otherwise you and have nothing to talk about, and there''s no reason for us to see each other," Hannah said.

She stared at tionel, her expression serious. "And as for you picking me up, don''t even think about it. I have my own driver. The Temple family''s driver is already waiting for us

not the same person I was before. I''m not alone anymore."
