James screamed at her, his voice frantic.
"Proof?" Hannah let out a coldugh.
“The burden of proof lies with the user. Since you im I slept with your boss, and you say you saw it with your own eyes and told all our colleagues, and I''ve already called the police, we can just let them sort out the truth. There''s no need to waste our breath here."
"The police are here,” Samuel said, walking over with a grin.
Behind him was a group of police officers. The sight made James'' legs tremble uncontrobly. He took a terrified step back, swallowing hard as his breathing grew ragged.
"Now that the police have arrived, let''s have the person in charge pull the surveince footage from the breakroom. We can all sit down and discuss this properly."
Hannah smiled and led the way.
James could feel the stares of his colleagues, some of whom were even taking pictures with their phones.
His face went deathly pale, and he hurried to catch up.
“Officer, it''s a misunderstanding! This is all just a misunderstanding! I was just joking with her, I didn''t think she''d take it so seriously!"
He quickly tried to block the officers, hoping to make the whole thing go away.
"I wasn''t joking with you. You''re not just ndering me; you''re ndering the boss as well. I''ve already informed him, and he''s waiting in the conference room right now."
Hannah pushed him aside, her eyes filled with a simmering rage, and scoffed.
"The moment you opened your mouth and used me of having a rtionship with the boss, you should have known you would face the consequences. This is all your own doing if you enjoy making stories about your friends, you have to be prepared to take responsibility for it, understand?"
The police officer confirmed that he would have to be held ountable for his words.
"By the way, Lheard you spread simr rumors at yourstpany. As it happens, the victim in that case is a friend of mine. I''ve already had her submit the relevant evidence to me. We''ll have both cases investigated together. Since you love ndering people so much, you should know what the
consequences are."
James froze for a second, then
pointed a finger at Hannah and yelled, "I knew it! The two of you are in this together, aren''t you? You''re deliberately trying to hurt merta going to call the police too. I''m going to say you''re framing me!"
"The police are right here. If you think I''m framing you, you''re wee to tell them.
Say whatever you want. But I am absolutely not letting this go."
Hannah and Samuel went to the conference room. The boss was already there, his face dark as he watched James walk in.
“B-Boss, it''s a misunderstanding, this is all a.....”
Before he could finish, the boss snatched a cup from the table and hurled it at him.
"Are you trying to tell me this is a misunderstanding? Do you think I''m blind? Or deaf? Or an idiot? I saw everything you said in the breakroom on the security footage!"
James swallowed hard, terrified.
"I''m telling you, I don''t care who you have backing you. This isn''t over!"
Hannah, sitting off to the side, burst outughing.
“Boss, it was Hannah! She goaded me into doing it! It was all her! I didn''t mean to
do it, she set me up to make me look bad!"
