Chapter 405

She knew that Sandra''s viral post had originally been his doing. If Quennel hadn''t asked for her help, she never would have spent a fortune suppressing it.

And now Hannah had created another massive media storm that she had to clean up. For the past two days, their family had been the butt of everyone''s jokes, a topic for casual gossip.

"Tell him toe home for dinner tonight. Tell him I need to talk to him about something important!"

    "Yes, ma''am."

The secretary hung up and went in to ry the message to Lionel, but he showed

no reaction, his gaze still fixed mournfully on the divorce papers.

    Night fell.

Mary and Quennel sat at the dining table, waiting for Lionel to arrive.

But after more than half an hour, he was still a no-show.

“Mom, do you think he''s avoiding us on purpose?”

"Call him," Mary ordered. “Ask him if he didn''t get my message. Tell him to get over here right now, I don''t care what he''s doing."

Quennel nodded and dialed his number.

Three secondster, he put his phone down. "Mom, he probably figured we''d call. His phone''s off."

    Quennel offered a helpless smile.

"He''s getting bolder and bolder, pletely out of control. I told you when we adopted him that we should have sent him abroad for proper training instead of keeping him here with us. See what''s happened now?"

Hearing her eldest son''s flippant tone, Mary snapped, "What''s the use of saying all that now? As long as he doesn''t get this divorce, Hannah will keep causing trouble. Do you have any idea how much the Rosenberg family stock has dropped because of this marriage certificate nonsense!"

    "She''s dragging the Rosenberg

name through the mud! The Temple family is just letting her run wild. The bigger the mess she makes, the more they stand to gain from it!"

The mere thought of the Temple family gave Mary a headache.

The only reason Hannah felt bold enough to escte things was the Temple family behind her.

Whatever Hannah did now, the Temple family could clean up the mess. And to make matters worse, she was Cheryl Temple''s daughter.

Cheryl had always been the family''s

favorite daughter. After she disappeared, they searched for her relentlessly Hannah''s appearance would only make them cherish her more.

    WI

"From this day on, you are forbidden to see Hannah again. Don''t forget, she has the entire Temple family backing her You''re a

    don''t go chasing afte

    her and make

    us aughingstock!"

Quennel nodded. "Alright, whatever you say."

But not seeing her was out of the question.

This was the perfect opportunity. He had to see her, and see her often.

Mary was too furious to eat and stormed away from the table.

Quennel sent a message to Hannah.

[Lionel''s new secretary works for my mother. Mom already knows you went to the factory today. She''s furious and told me I can''t see you anymore.]

After sending the text, he added a sad, pouting emoji.

Hannah couldn''t help but smile when she received the message.

It was hard to imagine the tall, cool, and handsome Quennel using such a cute emoji.

[Your mother''s right. This is a sensitive time. We should probably see less of each other. I don''t want to drag you into this.]
