With that, Hannah turned and left with Samuel.
As he followed her out, Samuel shot a re at Cherry and muttered, "You fucking idiot!"
That moron hadpletely ruined a perfectly good show. Just looking at her was annoying.
They had barely left when Gary came downstairs.
"Mr. Rosenberg, my apologies for not greeting you sooner. I had no idea you wereing. Please forgive our poor hospitality..."
Before Gary could finish, Lionel stood up and walked out.
"Mr. Rosenberg?"
Gary stared after him, momentarily stunned, before rushing to catch up. "Hey! You... you came to see Hannah, but we could also discuss a partnership with the Temple family! We''re all family here!"
Lionel paid no attention to the siblings behind him, his brow furrowed as he left the Temple estate.
Watching Lionel''s car speed away, Gary stomped his foot in anger. "What the hell is his problem! What''s that supposed to mean? Does he look down on me?"
"Calm down. What do you expect from someone who would marry a woman like Hannah? It just proves he''s no better than she is. We should focus on what to do next."
Cherry looked at Gary with concern.
Yesterday, she had overheard their grandparents discussing their n to hand over one of the family''spanies to Hannah.
Thatpany was originally promised to Gary. But now that Hannah was back, they were just going to give it to her, without a second thought about her capabilities!
Cherry had immediately told him the news.
Gary had been so worried he couldn''t sleep all night, trying to figure out what to do. He had always been a good-for-nothing cker, just drifting through life. He''d long heard that his grandparents were giving him apany and had already bragged to all his friends.
Now, the prize that was within his grasp was being given to someone else. How could he possibly ept that?
He''d spent the entire night brainstorming, even asking his buddies for advice.
When he heard Lionel had arrived, he thought it was the perfect
opportunity to propose a partnerstrip with the Rosenberg family. After all, Lionel was still Hannah''s husband. They were having problems, but they weren''t divorced yet, were they?
"I have an idea!" An idea sparked in Cherry''s mind. She leaned in and whispered in Gary''s ear, "Go to Mr Rosenberg and tell him you''ll get Hannah to drop the divorce if he agrees to partner with you. How about it?"
Gary''s eyes widened. "Are you crazy, or do you think I''m an idiot? How could I possibly interfere in Hannah''s business? She''s dead set on this divorce!"
"So what? Lionel is the one who won''t sign the papers. Just string him along and get
him to agree to the partnership. Then you can create some trouble for Hannah so she''s too busy to deal with Lionel."
At first, Gary thought it was a ridiculous fantasy, but as she exined, he started to think it might actually work.
Seeing Gary was tempted, Cherry raised her eyebrows. "Then you can go to Grandpa and Grandma and tell them to convince her not to divorce. So what if he cheated? Who cares if there''s no love left? This is Lonel we''re talking about-the Rosenberg family!"
"A partnership between the Temple and Rosenberg families would be a powerful alliance. We can''t just throw away that much profit over a little thing like love, can we?"
