Hannah didn''t answer. She walked straight over to Lily.
A sharp, unexpected pnded squarely on Lily''s face.
The other servants in the living room heard the sound and turned to look.
"Is the name ''Hannah'' something a servant like you is allowed to say?" Hannah asked, an eyebrow arched. "It seems I''ve been away for too long, and you''ve gotten a little toofortable. Lily, have you forgotten where your daughter is right now?"
The mention of her daughter made Lily''s heart pound with fear.
"Such sticky fingers. Should I send you to the police station, or should I send you to join your daughter?"
Lily''s knees gave way, and she dropped to the floor, hastily holding out the ne to Hannah.
"Ma''am, Mrs. Rosenberg... I... I wasn''t stealing. I was just thinking about whether I should help put things away. I really didn''t mean anything by it. Please, don''t punish me. I was wrong, I was so wrong!"
Hannah nced down at the ne.
What a coincidence. She had admired this very same ne once. The next day, Lionel brought it home, and when she identally saw it, she thought it was a surprise for her. It turned out to be for Sandra.
Hannah let out a bitterugh at the memory and walked over to the sofa to sit down, saying nothing.
Lily remained frozen, not knowing whether to stand up or stay kneeling.
Just as she was wrestling with her dilemma, Lionel walked in.
He saw Lily kneeling on the floor, her eyes wide as she pleaded with him for help.
Although Lionel didn''t know the specifics, he could guess what had happened. He ignored her, walking directly to Hannah and sitting down beside her.
"I know you''re angry, but what you did today was wrong. How am I supposed to clean up this mess?"
Lionel frowned, his voiceced with resentment.
"The Rosenberg Group''s stock took a nosedive today. Dad called from overseas to ask what the hell is going on."
Hannah nodded. "And did you exin to your father that it''s because you were being a cheating bastard, trying to give your mistress fifty million dors and cate her
With our ce
papers? Is that way you think I did this?"
Her tone was calm, but her words were razor-sharp.
Lionel felt a bitter sting in his heart.
"What, was I wrong?" Hannah raised an eyebrow, her gaze shifting from him to the mountain of reimed items. You should go through those things carefully. We need to decide whether to sell them or split them fifty-fifty. And while you''re at it, sign this."
Hannah took the divorce papers from her bag and ced them on the table.
Lionel''s heart clenched painfully as he looked at the familiar title on the document.
"Go ahead
and sign. I''ve already
signed my name," Hannah said, thoughtfully cing a pen on top of the papers. "Don''t worry. Unlike you, I''m focusing these to cate anyone. genuinely want to divorce you."

Just as Lionel was about to speak, his phone rang.
Hannah rolled her eyes internally. Of course it would ring now, of all times.
But a secondter, her phone rang too.
