"You take it to her. I have to go out for a bit."
Before Cora could process his words, Lionel had turned to leave. She nced into the empty hospital room, realized what was happening, and scurried after him, grabbing his wrist.
"Are you going to see Hannah?"
Lionel pulled his arm away, his expression darkening with annoyance at her overstepping and her casual use of Hannah''s name.
"Cora, if it weren''t for Lily, you would have been fired long ago. If you interfere in my business one more time, you''re out. Get it?"
His furious outburst stunned Cora into silence. She stood frozen for a moment, watching as he stepped into the elevator. Snapping back to reality, she lunged forward and blocked the closing doors with her foot.
"Yes, I''m overstepping! I''m just a maid, and I shouldn''t get involved, but I''m only doing this because I''m trying to help you, sir!"
She was trembling with anger, thrusting the food container toward him. "I don''t even know Ms. Woods! Why do you think I would go to the trouble of bringing her food? It''s for you!"
"Ms. Woods jumped off a building because of you! She''s going to be incredibly fragile when she wakes up. If she sees you there, with soup you supposedly cooked yourself, she would be so moved, and it would help her recover!"
"But now, just as she''s about to wake up, you''re leaving! Have you thought about what will happen if you walk out that door and she wakes up to find you gone? What if she jumps again?"
Her impassioned speech chipped away at Lionel''s resolve. His mind was a chaotic mess, and he didn''t know what to do. On one hand, Hannah was waiting for him. On the other, Sandra was emotionally unstable and about to wake up.
Sensing his hesitation, Cora pressed on. "I know you want to see Ms. Green right now, but Ms. Woods is the patient. The patient should alwayse first, right?"
"Sir, I''m sure Ms. Green would understand. She''s a reasonable

Just as she finished speaking, the adjacent elevator opened.
Edith and David stepped out, and both froze when they saw Lionel.
Edith''s face lit up. "Mr. Rosenberg, is it true? We heard Sandra is awake!"
At her words, Lionel''s pupils constricted.
Noticing he was standing in the elevator, she asked, "Mr. Rosenberg, are you... leaving, or just arriving?"
Before Lionel could answer, Cora jumped in. "Sir just went home to make Ms. Woods something to eat. We didn''t expect her to wake up soon air, we should go quickly.Ms Woods will be devastated if she doesn''t see you!"
Without giving him a chance to protest, Cora grabbed his arm and pulled him forcefully toward Sandra''s room.

Before they even reached the room, they could hear a series of loud crashes from within.
"Get out! All of you, get out! Who told you to save me? Just let me die! Let me die!"
"Sandra."
