Chapter 834

Being stared at so intently by Jimmie, Juniper couldn''t help but feel a little guilty.

"We have plenty of time for family reunionster. Let''s get down to business," Ebony Fox said, ncing briefly at Warren and Celine.

Seeing Celine''s delicate skin and the quality of her clothes and jewelry, it didn''t take a genius to know Warren doted on her. As for the dark room incident, since Juniper had already forgiven him, there was nothing more for them to say. After all, her little sister wasn''t one to suffer injustice quietly.

“Have a seat.” Jimmie gestured for Warren to sit, and Harold and Melvin followed suit.

"Thank you." Warren breathed a sigh of relief. As he sat, he gave Juniper a grateful nod.

    Juniper smiled back. ''Money talks.''

Watching from the sidelines, Shanley saw right through their little exchange. What a little money-grabber!

"The treatment starts tomorrow," Juniper said, her knees pressed together. Her hands, resting by her sides, clenched into fists, her palms slick with cold sweat. "To ensure Celine''s safety, the entire procedure will be conducted at the research institute."

"Is it very dangerous?" Jimmie asked, his face grave.

“A little,” Juniper admitted, then added in azy tone, "But I will minimize the risk and ensure everything goes perfectly."

"I trust you." Jimmie patted Juniper''s shoulder, forting her gently. "Don''t put too much pressure on yourself. God will watch over Celine."

Jimmie''s words made Juniper chuckle. “I think you''re the one under pressure,” she teased. "You''re starting to get all religious on me."

Jimmie swallowed hard, falling silent. He was, in fact, extremely worried. He''d looked into hypnotherapy; if it failed, the patient''s mind could fracture, with no hope of recovery. For Juniper to propose this method, she must be under immense pressure herself.

"I trust Juniper, too," Ebony Fox said, setting down her coffee cup, her gaze fixed firmly on her sister.

"I''ll be assisting Juniper," Harold added. "You can all rest assured.”

"The biggest problem now is that after the treatment, there''s a ny percent chance she''ll forget everything that''s happened in thest decade or so."

As soon as Juniper finished speaking, everyone''s gaze fell on Warren. The man was sitting in a corner, patiently feeding Celine. pieces of fruit with a gentle touch. When he noticed them looking at him, he simply offered a faint smile. "I know. I''ve agreed to it."

Melvin, who had initially held a grudge against him, now felt a flicker of respect. To think he had cared for Celine for over a decade, only to be forgotten. He really wasn''t afraid that once Celine was back to normal, she would fall for another man. Their family seemed to

    produce nothing but hopeless romantics.

"I''ll do my best to prevent any side effects," Juniper said in a low voice.

"Thank you." Warren nodded gently and took Celine''s hand. "Celine is getting tired. I''ll take her to rest."

He had been adjusting her sleep schedule for the treatment, and he couldn''t let it be disrupted.

    "Alright."

The others stood up and watched the two leave.

Now that the treatment n was set, the others couldn''t help, so they wouldn''t stay and cause trouble or add to Juniper''s pressure After a few more minutes of small talk, they all went their separate ways.

As he turned to leave, Jimmie caught an idental glimpse of the red mark on his

sister''s neck. His brow instantly furrowed. Was that...

He wasn''t born yesterday. That old fox Shanley, was he really that impatient? Juniper wasn''t even neen yet.

"You, get over here!" Jimmie hissed, pulling Shanley aside. "Is this how you take care of my sister?"
