"Don''t waste your energy,” Flint sneered, seeing her intention. "Specter is already in the room next door."


    Lue''s struggles slowed, and she slumped against the wall in despair.


    Flint looked down, his eyes fixed on Lue. From this angle, he thought, Subterra Vanguard''s second-inmand looked strangely familiar. Especially with that white hair. But... where had he seen her before?


    In the main room, Shanley hacked into the hotel''s security system, only to find the video files corrupted.


    The footage is damaged? What a coincidence.


    "Any news from the Subterra Vanguard front?" Shanley demanded, turning his head to Felton, his voice sharp. "Any word on Juniper?"


    “Sir,” Felton said, hanging up his phone. "Our men checked. Ms. Payne is definitely not at the hotel. But it seems Subterra Vanguard hasn''t captured her either."


    Not at the hotel? Did she just run off to have some fun?


    “Where is Specter?" Shanley closed hisptop, stood up, and picked up the gun from the table, his voice filled with killing intent.


    "In the room next door," Felton answered, startled. “He''s been demanding to see you. Said if he doesn''t, he''ll blow up the ship."


    "Hmph." Shanley slipped the small bracelet onto his wrist and elegantly fastened his cuffs. A cold, menacing smile touched his lips. “He''s fallen into my hands and still dares to be this arrogant. Let''s go meet him."


    "Also—" Shanley added as he walked out, his voice low, "keep an eye on the hotel. Notify me immediately if you get any news about Juniper."


    "Yes, Boss," Felton replied, hurrying to keep up.


    In the adjacent room, Juniper sat on the sofa. The contents of the table had been swept to the floor.


    The Sigma Network''s men stood nearby, their faces bruised to varying degrees. Apparently, when Specter had lost his temper and started smashing things, they had tried to teach him a lesson. Now, they stood hunched over, not daring to show any anger or say a word.

    Just then, the sound of the door unlocking echoed through the room.


    Juniper nced up to see a line of bodyguards marching in, nking a tall, imposing


    man in a ck shirt and trousers who stood out among them.


    Seeing the man, Juniper was momentarily stunned, a look of surprise crossing her face. In her memory, the leader of the Sigma Network was an old man with one foot in the grave. How could it be...


    For a hazy moment, she thought he bore a slight resemnce to Shanley. But... he wasn''t one-millionth the man Shanley was. He wasn''t even worthy of shining his shoes!


    “Boss.” Seeing Shanley, the men immediately stepped aside and respectfully brought him a chair.


    Shanley sat down and looked at the person across from him, his expression momentarily freezing.


    The leader of Subterra Vanguard, Specter? Although the security footage had already revealed that


    Specter had been disguising himsetti


    as an old man, he hadn''t expected the real person to be so young.


    Was he even twenty? If he was twenty now, how old had he been when they fought


    a few years ago? A teenager? He''d shed with him multiple times as a teenager and nearly taken his life?!


    More importantly, perhaps it was because he missed Juniper so much, but for a fleeting moment, he felt he saw a trace of her in Specter.


    He quickly dismissed the thought. The person before him was a man.


    "You''re Specter?" Shanley asked, leaning back in his chair and crossing his long legs, his voice low and cold.


    "Who else?" Juniper''s posture was casual, her smile mocking. "Your dad?"
