Chapter 1128

    ?Chapter 1128:

Unfazed by the outburst, Elena tuned out the doctor and checked the boy’s pulse with quiet concentration.

The doctor, Katy Brown, folded her arms, her voice dripping with skepticism. “If you’re really a doctor, then prove it. Which Yoswye hospital do you work at? Who taught you? I’m Gleyross Hospital’s chief physician, and my mentor runs the whole ce. Unless you can show credentials, you’re breaking thew, and I’ll call the authorities right now.”

Elena didn’t spare her a nce, every ounce of focus devoted to the boy.

Feelingpletely disregarded, Katy raised her voice in anger. “Are you pretending not to hear me? Everyone knows to wait for the ambnce. Just who do you think you are, jumping in without a license?”

With patience running thin, Elena sent a cial re Katy’s way. A sharp edge cut through her words. “Wait around for the ambnce? Let critical moments slip away while a life hangs in the bnce? Is that what your mentor taught you? If every doctor acted as you do, patients would lose their golden time for emergency treatment.”

With authority ringing in her voice, she took charge of the scene, and the crowd instinctively stepped back to let her work, making space for the injection.

Katy bristled, desperate to defend herself. “Wasting time? That’s not on me,” she retorted. “You’re the one standing in the way of proper emergency care. Gleyross Hospital is where I practice—our specialty is high-profile cases. My mentor has cared for royalty, even the king himself. Don’t pretend you know better. If you jab that needle in, you could kill him for real.”

Prestige and titles meant little to Elena in a moment like this. Saving the boy was her only concern, and every second lost jeopardized his chance of life. Without hesitation, she steadied the boy’s arm, cleansed the skin, and delivered the injection with practiced speed.

Shock shed across Katy’s face. Rage welled up in her eyes as she sneered, “Fine, do it your way! If this child dies, his blood is on your hands!”

Finishing her task, Elena tucked her tools away and finally turned her full attention on Katy. Iceced her gaze as she replied, “Take a real look. The boy’s lips are blue, his skin’s gone white, and his breathing is barely there. These are ssic signs of a dangerous crash in blood pressure—he’s moments from suffocating. Three minutes is all he has before it’s toote. You couldn’t even pick up the basics, yet you call yourself a chief physician? Is this what passes for expertise at Gleyross Hospital?”

Admiration spread through the onlookers as Elena’s expertise shone, and her words quickly won them over.

    ??????????? ????ρ???????? ?????????ν????????????

“Yeah. That doctor didn’t even bother to check the boy before dismissing any hope for him.”

“For a doctor from Gleyross Hospital, her conduct leaves a lot to be desired.”

“I paid close attention to how steady this young woman’s hands were. She’s proved she’s the one we can actually trust.”

“That doctor almost caused a death, yet she has the nerve to use others of murder.”

Katy, unustomed to such public embarrassment, forced a tight smile and snarled at Elena, “Fine! Let’s see if you can really revive him! You’re not going anywhere—if the boy doesn’t regain consciousness, I’ll make sure you’re arrested. But if you actually pull this off, I’ll kneel right here and call you master.”

Elena shot Katy a mocking look. “How about this—if the boy wakes up, you’ll get down on your knees and admit to everyone here that you’re nothing but a quack?”

With a huff of confidence, Katy retorted, “Works for me. I doubt you have any real ability at all!”

No sooner had Katy finished than the boy lying on the ground twitched, his brow furrowing ever so slightly.
