Chapter 1114

    ?Chapter 1114:

Elena collected the cinnabar and made her way to Kensington Heights. The house there had been bought specifically to support her work in pharmaceuticals and fragrance blending.

Though the dietary supplements she created were highly valuable, producing them didn’t take much time. Byte morning, she had already finished ten pills. Since her parents were aging, she reserved two for each of them. Her three older brothers would get one each, leaving three pills remaining.

Elena ced the remaining three pills into a small sandalwood box, got on her motorcycle, and set off in search of Wesley. But before she had gone far from Kensington Heights, a crowd of men blocked her path.

There were at least a dozen of them, all d in ck leather jackets with hair dyed in a rainbow of colors. The leader of the group had a tattoo snaking around his neck. Each one carried a baseball bat, and their stares held nothing but hostility.

The tattooed man raised a hand, motioning for Elena toe forward. Elena killed the engine, removed her helmet, and stood beside her bike without a word.

One of the men, annoyed by her motionlessness, let out a mockingugh. “Are you blind or what? Nichol’s asking you toe over!”

Nichol Byrd was the name of the tattooed man. He stood with his hands buried in his pockets, eyes sweeping over Elena with tant interest. He thought she was really pretty. Raising an eyebrow, he gave her a sly grin. “Here’s the deal. Be my girl, and I’ll let you walk away today.”

His gaze dropped, lingering far too long on her chest. Wow. That face, that figure. What a stunner. He couldn’t remember ever seeing a woman this striking. Since the boss wasn’t around, he figured that if she agreed to be his woman, he’d just tell the boss he had taught her a lesson.

Without a word, Elena picked up a pebble and flicked it cleanly toward him. “Argh! Who the hell just hit me?” Nichol held his head, his face contorting in pain and fury as he scanned the group.

Elena spoke in a calm voice. “Stare a second longer, and I’ll make sure you won’t be using those eyes again.”

Only then did it hit Nichol. She was the one who had thrown it. He spat to the side and snarled, “Tch! You little bitch! Who do you think you are, throwing a pebble at”

“Me? Do you even know who you’re messing with?” He tugged at his cor, wearing a smug expression.

    ??????????? с???????????? g?????????????[.]??????

Elena gave him a cold smile, her voice dripping with contempt. “Like I care to know.”

Nichol let out a low, mocking chuckle. “Let me enlighten you. Try not to pass out from fright. I’m a division leader under the Onyx Rose Association. If you get on your knees and beg, maybe I’ll go easy on you. Otherwise, with a body like yours, do you really think you’llst more than a few hits?” The men around him burst into crudeughter.

Elena had heard of the Onyx Rose Association before. They were one of the’s most infamous criminal groups. In their early years, they’d been involved in everything from theft to arson. Eventually, they cleaned up their image somewhat and established nightclubs. But as far as she knew, she’d never done anything to provoke them. Her expression didn’t change. “Who put you up to this?”

Nichol raised a brow. She wasn’t trembling, pleading, or even backing down. Herposure impressed him. Most people either broke down crying or went stiff with fear the moment they heard the name Onyx Rose. But not her. Nichol casually twirled the bat in his grip and then asked, “You really don’t know who you’ve upset?”

Elena searched her memory but came up empty.

Nichol curled his lip in a sneer. “Alright then. I’ll do you a favor and let you die knowing why. Our boss’s niece—herst name is Russell. Ring any bells?”
