Chapter 962

    ?Chapter 962:

The soldiers who had looked down on Elena moments earlier now stood straight, stiff as boards. Their expressions had shifted to something more serious, even respectful.

Lucinda, still processing what she’d just witnessed, muttered to herself, “No way… Sergeant Larson must’ve let that bitch Elena win. That’s the only exnation. Elena couldn’t have done that for real!”

Desperate to make sense of it, Lucinda raised her voice. “Sergeant Larson, why would you let that woman win?”

Hand lowered his head, his face clouded with embarrassment. “I didn’t,” he murmured, his voice so low it was almost lost in the silence.

    “Then how did she—”

“Lucinda, that’s enough,” N interjected, stepping in before Lucinda could go any further.

Something unreadable flickered in N’s eyes. She had clearly misjudged Elena—and badly.

Out of everyone there, Wesley was the only one who didn’t look the least bit surprised.

Arion stared, pletely stunned, his voiceced with shock. “Mr. Spencer, you already knew Miss Harper is a skilled fighter, didn’t you?” Arion had seen Elena in action once before, back in Avaloria—but at that time, she’d been holding a gun.

Wesley’s face didn’t shift. “Yeah,” he replied without hesitation.

Whatever admiration Arion had for Elena deepened tenfold. Elena stepped up to Hand, her posture steady, her presence unshaken. “Do you yield?” she asked, her voice calm but firm.

Hand clutched his chest, face drained of color, the sting of defeat etched across his features. With effort, he said, “I yield.”

In the military, words meant nothing if they weren’t backed by strength. Elena didn’t bother with exnations. One clean move had done all the talking. From that point forward, no one at Azure Dragon Base dared to look down on her. Their respect didn’t just grow—it solidified.

As Elena turned away, her eyes briefly locked with Lucinda’s. The contact alone made Lucinda panic. She stumbled backward in fear, losing her footing andnding t on the ground.

Elena didn’t say a word. Her eyes shifted away, her face marked with pure disdain.

At some point during the scene, Wesley had risen from his seat. When Elena passed by, he fell into stride beside her, their steps falling in sync as if choreographed. Behind them, the entire training ground remained frozen in stunned silence.

Still shaken, Lucinda leaned in close and whispered, “N, what do we do now? What if Elenaes after us next? She took down Sergeant Larson like it was nothing—and we don’t even know how to fight.”

N said nothing at all. Her eyes remained fixed on Elena and Wesley as they walked away, her expression impossible to read.

“N? N?” Lucinda called again, her voice now edged with panic. When Lucinda turned and got a proper look at N’s face, she froze in ce. Why did N look so frightening?

Snapping out of her thoughts, N responded in a calm, almost casual tone, “Rx. This is a military base. If she tries anything, I’ll speak to Deputy Commander Aston and have her removed.”

“Oh, that’s right! Ipletely forgot about Deputy Commander Aston!” Lucinda’s face brightened, clearly feeling more at ease. “You were the one who saved his life. He has absolute faith in you. If she evenys a hand on us, you could have her thrown out before she blinks.”
