Chapter 918

    ?Chapter 918:

The building had three levels: the ground floor featured a lounge and kitchen, while the second and third floors each housed two bedrooms. Charlette initially considered sharing the second floor with Elena, as it seemed more practical for the two women to stay together. But before she could speak, she caught the look Wesley shot her.

Having worked for Wesley for years, Charlette instantly understood his meaning. She said quickly, “I’m not used to sharing a floor with anyone. I’ll take the third.”

Elena had no objections. With Charlette choosing the third floor, she settled on the second. She opened the door to the room closest to the stairs and said, “I’ll take this one.”

The room was airy and bright. At its center stood a bed sorge it looked like it could hold five people without crowding. A desk, a coffee table, and a sofapleted the setup, leaving ample space to move freely.

Elena nced at Kason. “I’ve got something to handle this afternoon. You don’t need to keep mepany.”

    Kason nodded. “Okay.”

Once Kason stepped out, Elena moved to shut the door, but it didn’t close. An arm blocked the way. Her brow furrowed. “Is it now?” Wesley leaned against the frame, his broad build nearly filling the entryway.

Uncertain of his intentions, Elena gave him a pointed reminder. “Your room’s next door.”

Wesley strolled in without hesitation and settled into a chair, one leg draped casually over the other. There was a glint of mischief in his eyes. “I like this one better,” he said.

Elena figured he wanted the room for himself. As the head of the Spencer Group, Wesley was no stranger to getting his way—and she wasn’t one to argue over something so trivial. If he had his eye on this room, she’d have no problem letting him have it. “If that’s the case, I’ll take the room next door,” she said quickly.

But before she could step away, he pulled her onto hisp with firm insistence. His gaze shifted toward the massive bed, and his tone dipped suggestively. “Why leave? There’s more than enough room for both of us.”

The bed was certainly big enough for their intimate time together. Wesley was clearly more interested in the bed than anything else.

Catching on to what he meant, Elena was left at a loss for words. She couldn’t help but wonder how he managed to run an entire corporation when his thoughts seemed so consumed by desire.

As she remained quiet, Wesley nudged his hip upward, making her feel his arousal. His voice dropped low and rough. “What’s on your mind?”

The question snapped Elena out of her thoughts. She shoved him back with force and rose to her feet.

Wesley didn’t resist, leaning back with a teasing smile on his face.

Heat crept up Elena’s ears under his unrelenting stare.

This man had a way of pulling her in. Normally soposed, he was now acting like a shameless flirt. She tucked a strand of hair behind her ear and avoided his eyes. “I’m not in the mood. Go back to your own room.”

She had nned to reach out to a team of Pantheon’s top hackers to help locate her mentor in Tauledo. Sleeping with Wesley had never been part of the n.

Wesley, however, seemed to have an entirely different n. He had no intention of leaving.

Her brow furrowed. “Are you going, or should I? Because I will.” The resolve in her voice was enough to wipe the smirk from his face. In a heartbeat, his usual coolposure returned—the dignified presence of the Spencer family’s heir slipping back into ce. “You stay. I’ll go.” He turned and exited without another word.
