Chapter 862

    ?Chapter 862:

Alexander’s curiosity grew. “Are you and Elena close?”

Wesley gave a small smile. “Yeah, we’re pretty close.”

After a few moments of silence, Jeffry finally spoke. “Dad, don’t you have a board meeting this morning?”

Alexander looked at his watch. He was right—it was almost time.

Just then, the driver started the car, and Alexander and Jeffry left. Alexander thought the whole situation was strange but didn’t think too much about it. He figured that since Wesley was Jeffry’s friend, Wesley probably saw Elena as a little sister.

After breakfast, Elena spotted Wesley’s car and walked straight over. Wesley opened the car door, and she climbed in.

Felix drove them to the airstrip, where two nes were parked. Felix took the doctors and teachers on one, while Wesley and Elena boarded the other—just the two of them.

Wesley slid into the pilot’s seat, and Elena froze for a moment. Was he nning to fly the ne himself?

Rxed that someone else was in control, Elena settled into the seat next to him.

Wesley started the engine smoothly and pulled the lever, sending the helicopter soaring into the sky.

This flight from the to the ind took half an hour longer than thest trip.

Elena nced at him and understood why people said a manpletely focused on his work was so captivating. Wesley, with his calm face and focused energy, had this untouchable, mysterious charm—so different from the intense passion he showed in bed.

The first time Elena saw Wesley, she had been captivated by his cold, mysterious expression.

When Wesley noticed her staring, he nced up at her. Their eyes locked for a moment before Elena quickly turned away.

Wesley let out a softugh. “If you want to stare, go ahead. Am I that good-looking?” He was hers, all in. She could gaze at him as much as she wanted, whenever she felt like it.

Elena touched her nose and replied bluntly, “Yeah, you’re not bad.”

Wesley burst outughing, his chest shaking as theughter grew louder.

Elena stared at him, taken aback. She hadn’t expected him tough so heartily. She’d always thought he was the type to keep a serious face or onlyugh with a sarcastic sneer. She had to admit, he looked even more attractive when heughed.

As Elena watched, Wesley suddenly unbuckled his seatbelt and stretched his long legs over to her side. Elena’s eyes widened in panic. “The ne…”

Wesley waved off her concern with a confident grin. “Rx, it’s on autopilot.” He leaned in closer, his eyes mischievous. “Just ‘not bad’? Take a better look and tell me what you really think.”

The helicopter cabin wasn’trge, and when Wesley shifted closer, his body pressed against hers. His handsome face filled her entire view, like a captivating, otherworldly seducer.

Elena shoved him back. “Wesley, where’s your aloof persona?” He had once projected himself as a reserved, neat freak, not this tactile type.
