Chapter 860

    Chapter 860:

His body was still rock-hard, throbbing with unmet need, rudely interrupted mid-session. What kind of man could just shrug that off? Fury simmered in his chest, his breathing ragged.

Elena’s brow furrowed, her eyes now cial, all traces of the earlier passion gone. “I’ve got stuff to do.” Her gaze flicked pointedly down to his still-erect member. “Deal with it yourself.”

“What the actual fuck?” Wesleyughed, the sound bitter and incredulous. He felt like he was teetering on the edge of losing it. What could be so damn urgent that she had to bail right this second?

Wesley held back his anger and asked directly, “Who sent that message?” He wanted to know which foolish person dared to interrupt their important moment.

Elena held her phone. Her face was cold, and her eyes held a hint of iciness. “It was Earle,” she replied.

Just hearing Earle’s name made Wesley’s eyes turn cold. How dare he continue to harass Elena? A strong surge of anger, almost like the urge to kill, rose within him, and his eyes hardened. “What does he want?” he asked.

Elena was already dressed. “He discovered our ns to work with the military,” she exined.

Earle’s message was clear and direct. “Don’t work with the military, or you’ll be sorry.”

For Earle to send a message like that, it meant he was nning something.

Elena frowned, unsure of the power Earle might have over them, but she knew she had to be careful.

In Avaloria, Earle, wearing a mask shaped like a fox, sat back, his legs crossed, looking at the man kneeling in front of him.

The top assassin from the Shadow organization kneeled respectfully. “Mr. Miller, our people found out that Wesley and Elena went to an ind.”

Earle raised an eyebrow. “What’s on that ind?” he asked.

Wesley’spany, Edgewing, had always been Earle’s biggest rival, and Elena was the skilled individual Earle wanted.

Earle’s mind raced. Wesley and Elena both visited an ind—could it have valuable oil or resources? If it did, he had to get it for himself.

Still wearing his floral shirt, Earle leaned forward, his green eyes glinting with calction.

His assistant replied, “There aren’t any valuable resources—just old, broken-down houses and a few people living there.”

Earle stood up, extending his hand. His assistant quickly lit a cigarette for him.

Earle slowly inhaled the smoke, then exhaled it, narrowing his eyes. His voice was cold. “They must know someone who lives there…”

His assistant stayed silent, waiting for Earle’s nextmand. Earle bit the end of his cigarette, letting out a puff of smoke. After a moment of thought, he said, “Find out the reason they went there.”

“Yes, Mr. Miller,” the assistant replied.

Elena had tried to shake Earle off more times than she could count, but every time she failed, Earle’s twisted obsession with her only grew stronger. He was practically salivating, eagerly counting down the moments until the day she would finally be his.
