Chapter 779

    ?Chapter 779:

Regardless of Aria’s motives, Jolie chose not to stir any tension at the table and simply returned thepliment with a polite smile.

Aria didn’t stop there. “She’s twenty-three now, right? Still not seeing anyone? Well, I just happen to have a nephew—tall, handsome, well-mannered. He’d be perfect for her.”

As Aria spoke, looks of disapproval simultaneously crossed the faces of the Harper family members.

Louis quickly retorted, “Aria, Elena’s personal life isn’t your concern. Focus on your own business.”

Undaunted by his sharp reply, Aria continued, “What’s the harm in dating? Elena is at the perfect age to find someone. Otherwise, she risks ending up alone.”

Louis, never one to back down easily, retorted sharply, “Perfect age to find someone? Isn’t her age perfect for any endeavor? Then may I ask, what is a woman your age perfect for? Meddling?”

“How dare you say such things?” Aria’s face clouded with anger. “You’re so rude! I’m merely trying to ensure your sister doesn’t miss out on a good match, and here you are, showing no gratitude.”

As Louis opened his mouth to respond, Jolie stepped in to defuse the tension. “Mrs. Morgan, we’ve only just reconnected with Elena. Since she shows no interest in dating, we see no reason to pressure her on this.”

    Jolie tactfully dismissed Aria’s push.

However, Aria was far from discouraged. She was intent on matching her nephew with Elena today.

Her nephew, Trent Harvey, was a handsome 30-year-old with a reputation as a yboy. His constant stream of girlfriends had long worried his parents, yet he imed he was still enjoying his youth.

Despite her low regard for Elena, Aria recognized the influence of the Harper family in the. Marrying Elena would not only link her nephew to the Harper family’s considerable fortune but also ease her brother and sister-inw’s concerns about Trent settling down.

Aria continued, “Jolie, my nephew is truly rising. He’s thriving in his career, and he’s quite popr among thedies. Elena caught my eye as someone equally charming, and I think they should meet. When I was Elena’s age, I was already married to Evelyn’s father. Time is of the essence! Plus, it’s merely an introduction, not a rush to the altar. If they find a spark, it would be wonderful for them to explore a rtionship.”

While making her case, Aria produced a photograph of her nephew. “Elena, have a look. Isn’t he a catch? Why don’t you give me your contact details, and I’ll arrange for him to call you…”

“Enough!” The interruption came from a forceful, authoritative voice. Jeffry swiftly took the photograph from Aria, gave it a cursory nce, and with a cold demeanor, tossed it into the nearest bin.

“Someone of his caliber has no business being around Elena,” Jeffry said, his frown deepening and his gaze sharp.

Caught off guard by his decisive gesture, Aria’s expression turned sour. How could Jeffry dismiss her nephew so bluntly? What made her nephew unworthy of Elena? From a young age, Trent had been favored by many girls. Without the illustrious backdrop of the Harper family’s influence in the, Elena, who had been raised in a modest town, would hardly be considered his equal.

Aria said, “Jeffry, please know that my nephew is rising in his career. He is not a rogue.”

With a dismissive snort, Jeffry replied, “Seems like we’re done here. Time to head out.”
