?Chapter 757:
Her delicate features were sculpted to perfection, and her lips, painted a bold, vibrant red, added to her irresistible allure. She looked like a fiery red rose in full, passionate bloom.
Mauricio took her hand and pressed a kiss to the back of it, saying with a yful yet sincere tone, “If I weren’t already ancient, I’d definitely be chasing after you like a madman.”
A subtle smile yed on Elena’s lips, but she remained silent.
With a proud grin, Mauricio dered, “Let’s go, my queen, and show this world the breathtaking beauty that’s uniquely and utterly yours.”
The party was a masquerade, so everyone got a mask when they walked in. Once masked up, people started mingling and chatting. The movie had been a huge hit, and everyone was beaming with excitement. It was a total party atmosphere.
When Mauricio led the masked Elena by the hand to the middle of the ballroom, all eyes immediately turned to them.
“Who is this gorgeous woman?”
“Damn, she’s even hotter than Alice!”
“She’s absolutely radiant! How have I never seen such a knockout before? Trust me, if I had, I’d remember her face.”
Alice Jimenez, the lead actress in the movie, couldn’t help but overhear what everyone was saying. Her smile tightened, and jealousy shed in her eyes behind her mask. How could anyone be prettier than her? These idiots hadn’t even seen what that woman looked like under the mask! She could be ugly as sin!
Elena had just sat down when a guy came up to her. He looked at her cat mask and grinned. “Hey there, Miss Kitty. Can I get you a drink?”
Before Elena could say no, Mauricio stepped in. “Roy, she doesn’t drink,” he said.
Roy Juarez, the lead actor in the film, immediately recognized Mauricio. He shrugged and said, “That’s a shame. I was hoping I could get to know this beauty.”
“Roy, you have terrible taste,” a sarcastic voice said from behind them.

Elena looked where Roy was looking and saw a woman in a tight, nude mermaid dress that showed off her incredible body.
Roy’s face darkened for a split second, but he kept his smile. “Alice, are you jealous?” he asked.
Alice scoffed, her voice full of contempt. “Everyone knows what I’ve aplished. That masked woman doesn’t even have the guts to show her face. What’s there to be jealous of?”
Alice was proud that she’d just won the Golden Horizon Award for Best Actress. The movie wouldn’t have been nearly as big without her. She wasn’t some nobody who slept her way into getting invited. She looked down on Elena, her disgust clear as day.
Mauricio’s eyes narrowed, and he suddenly emanated a dangerous aura. “Alice, watch your words. She’s my guest.” His tone was chilly.
Alice let out a short, mockingugh. “Mauricio, how many times have you fucked her to be jumping to her defense like this?”
As soon as her words crossed the line, Mauricio’s face went cold. “Apologize to her. Right now.”
Mauricio wasn’t just any director—he was one of the top names in the industry. Everyone on set knew better than to cross him. His word wasw, and actors and actresses usually didn’t dare push his buttons. But Alice’s mindset had shifted after winning the Golden Horizon Award for Best Actress. In her mind, the entire sess of the film rested on her shoulders. Without her performance, the film wouldn’t have made it this far. As far as she was concerned, Mauricio should’ve been grateful.
