    Kason briefly lowered his eyes before raising them again. His face was stoic, and his tone steady. “On what grounds do you make such a demand?”


    Wesley’s brow furrowed. Although Kason’s demeanor seemed unchanged, he sensed an unusual shift. Kason was typically reserved, rarely engaging deeply with others.     Cathy grabbed her ss and took arge gulp, burning with the urge to confront Elena.


    Yvette’s expression showed shock. “Her again? Wasn’t it enough that she tried to charm your brother? Now she’s meddling with Mr. Spencer and you!”


    Just the day before, at the restaurant in Yasmine Springs Retreat, Elena had made a call and shortly after, Kason had arrived. Yvette was still reeling from it.


    Cathy frowned, a mix of disbelief and irritation crossing her face. “She has her sights set on my brother too?”
