Chapter 1129

    ?Chapter 1129:

“But… I…” My lips parted, but my voice faltered, lost in the tumult of my emotions.

Alden’s hands slid from my shoulders to the crown of my head, his fingers gently tousling my hair with tenderness.

“Makenna, don’t let Leonardo’s schemes ensnare you. Channel your pain, your fury, into something greater—let it drive you to make him answer for his crimes. Don’t punish yourself like this. Don’t let those you cherish suffer while your enemies revel in your despair.”

His words struck like a thunderp, tightening my chest as fresh tears brimmed in my eyes, threatening to spill over.

Unable to hold back any longer, I surged to my feet and flung myself into Alden’s embrace, my sobs erupting in a torrent. “Alden, I hate him. I hate him with every fiber of my being!”

My tears soaked his shirt as I wept uncontrobly, my fingers clutching at his clothes as though they were the only thing keeping me from shatteringpletely.

    Makenna’s POV:

Alden hesitated briefly before draping his arm tenderly around my shoulders, his voice a soothing whisper. “Makenna, everything will be alright. This storm will pass.”

Tears continued to stream down my face, my heart heavy with sorrow. Alden remained silent, his embrace a quiet haven as I let my emotions spill over.

Time blurred as my sobs softened, my heartache easing like a tide receding.

I raised my head, brushing away tears with my sleeve. “Thank you, Alden,” I murmured.

As I spoke, I caught Alden’s gaze, his eyes burning with an intensity that seemed to pull me into their depths. “Makenna, is that all—a simple thank you?” he asked, his voice low and teasing.

Before I could respond, he sped my hand, his grip warm and unyielding. A flutter of nervous energy coursed through me as I tried to withdraw, but his hold was steadfast.

“Alden, I—” My words faltered as Alden’s lips met mine, silencing me with a kiss that was both gentle and fervent. His warmth enveloped me, his tongue delicately exploring, igniting a spark that left me breathless.

When the kiss broke, I nudged Alden back, my mind scrambling for words. “I… I haven’t eaten yet.”

Alden paused, then guided my hand to the evident bulge beneath his trousers, a yful glint in his eye. “But what about me, Makenna?”

Before I could protest, he swept me up, setting me gently on the edge of the table. I reached for a spoon, intent on eating, when Alden’s arms encircled me from behind. His hand slipped beneath my blouse, his touch bold yet tender as he caressed my breast.

The spoon ttered into the bowl, and I shot Alden a sideways nce. “What are you doing?”

“Just eat,” Alden murmured, his voice a velvet promise. “I’ll take care of myself.”

I tried to object, but Alden’s touch was already weaving its spell, his graceful fingers delicately tracing the tender threshold between my thighs.

I frowned, heat rising to my cheeks. “How am I supposed to eat like this?”

“I’ll feed you,” Alden replied with a yful pout. He picked up a fork and knife, slicing a bite of steak and offering it to me with a grin.

The moment I savored the steak, Alden swept me into his arms, parting my thighs with care, and settled me onto hisp, our gazes locked in an intimate dance. His arousal, restrained by the fabric of his trousers, nestled warmly between my thighs. With a swift motion, Alden freed himself, his arousal brushing against my sensitive skin. My body responded, a shiver of anticipation rippling through me as hisrge tip lingered at my entrance.
