Chapter 1103

    ?Chapter 1103:

Bryan released a chillingugh before stepping forward withmanding presence. He seized my other hand, his grip possessive and his voice leaving no room for argument. “She’s mine. If anyone apanies her, it will be me. The rest of you should find something else to upy yourselves with.”

His bold im ignited fresh conflict among the group.

yton spoke up with his characteristic gentleness. “Makenna appears genuinely fascinated by the art of winemaking. I happen to have some experience in this domain, so perhaps I should be the one to apany her?”

Jett let out a derisive snort, his wordsced with biting sarcasm. “You? A pampered prince iming knowledge about winemaking? That’s rich. I’ll escort Makenna instead.”

As their bickering intensified once again, a wave of helplessness washed over me.

None of them showed any sign of yielding to the others. At this rate, our pleasant vineyard excursion would dissolve into nothing but bitter arguments and wounded pride.

Drawing a steadying breath, I stered on a diplomatic smile and raised my voice slightly. “Everyone, please, let’s end this dispute. Why don’t we allow chance to decide by drawing lots? That way, the oue will be fair to all of you.”

    Makenna’s POV:

Although they all seemed reluctant, they eventually nodded in agreement.

Unexpectedly, it was Jett’s name that was drawn.

Everyone frowned at this, especially Alden, who looked like he was about to attack Jett.

Bryan let out a coldugh as he stared disdainfully at Jett.

Jett, however, didn’t seem to notice this. In fact, he looked like someone who had just won a battle. He walked up to me and, without hesitation, took my hand. “It looks like today is my lucky day to spend time with you.”

This unexpected move made me blush. I immediately tried to pull my hand back, but he held on so tightly that I couldn’t get it away. “Jett, don’t do this. The effects of the aphrodisiac are still present within us,” I whispered anxiously.

Hearing me, Jett frowned and eventually let go of my hand, albeit reluctantly.

The effect of the drugs soon began to fade.

I bit my lip and willed myself to stay calm as Alden and the others watched us. Jett and I then entered the grapery.

In front of us were all kinds of grapes—some red, some purple, some green—all looking fresh under the sunlight. Dewdrops shimmered on the green leaves, and the air smelled strongly of a blend of grapes and flowers.

“Oh my goodness. This is beautiful!” I eximed loudly. “I’ve never seen a grapery this beautiful before!”

Jett watched me with a wide smile.

His smile made me blush furiously. I immediately pretended to be looking at the grapes. Flustered, I said, “Let’s start picking the grapes before time runs out.”

“Okay,” Jett simply said, still smiling.

We started picking grapes, basking in the peaceful silence when suddenly my foot slipped on the wet ground, and I lost my bnce, beginning to fall.

However, Jett moved quickly and caught me before I could hit the ground.
