Chapter 996

    ?Chapter 996:

Dominic nodded grimly, his expression mirroring Bryan’s concern. “Bryan’s right. If we mobilize too suddenly, it’ll be impossible to hide from our father’s eyes. If he catches wind of this, we won’t just fail to stop Cody—we’ll be putting ourselves in even greater danger.”

Before Dominic could finish, yton suddenly stepped forward and seized my hand in a firm grip.

“I’ll mobilize my army tonight.” His voice rang with certainty, sharp and unyielding, as if his decision had already been carved into stone. I blinked, momentarily stunned. Out of all of them, I hadn’t expected yton to be the first to take my side—without hesitation, without doubt.

His deep, piercing gaze locked onto mine, unwavering in its intensity.

“I chose to stand by you, Makenna—to help you clear the white wolves’ name. I made my decision the moment I became your ally. So tell me, why would I hesitate now? I believe in you. And I believe we can change everything—together.”

A warmth spread through my chest, raw and unexpected. My fingers tightened around his instinctively, my voice barely above a whisper as emotion tightened my throat. “Thank you… truly, thank you.” Bryan and Dominic exchanged a nce, something unspoken but resolute passing between them.

Momentster, Bryan turned to me, his expression shifting—no longer hesitant, but firm with conviction. “I’ll mobilize my army as well. No matter how dangerous this bes, we’ll face it together.”

Dominic didn’t say much, but his nod was resolute, his stance unwavering.

A storm of emotions surged through me—shock, gratitude, a profound sense of relief. At that critical juncture, they had chosen to stand by me, to put their trust in me without hesitation. Their loyalty, their resolve—it stirred something deep inside me. My eyes burned, tears threatening to spill over.

yton noticed immediately. His touch was gentle as he brushed his fingers along my cheek. “So now,” he murmured, his gaze searching mine, “are you willing to trust uspletely? Will you finally tell us the truth you’ve been carrying all this time?”

His words struck a chord deep within me. I looked at them—the three of them. And for the first time, I let go of the fear. It was time to reveal the secret I had buried for so long.

    Makenna’s POV:

I drew in a deep breath, bracing myself to finally unearth the painful truth that had remained buried for far too long. There would be no more hesitation, no more holding back.

“Many years ago, my father was the only son of the previous Lycan King. Later, he took in Leonardo—an orphan from a distant royal branch who had suffered unimaginable abuse—and treated him as his own brother. But who could have foreseen how ungrateful Leonardo would turn out to be?”

The moment those words left my lips, I saw the shock ripple through the three princes.

Their stunned expressions spoke volumes—they had only ever known my mother as the revered Saint of the white wolves, entirely unaware of the royal lineage that flowed in my veins.

A bitter smile ghosted across my lips as I continued, “Later, Leonardo fell in love with my mother, Josie, and he wanted her for himself. But Lycanw is absolute—the Saint can only belong to the Lycan King. So, he betrayed my father, exploiting his trust, and conspired with the Harrison family to orchestrate a rebellion…”

Silence hung heavy in the room. The weight of my revtion left them frozen, as if struck by lightning.

Bryan shook his head in disbelief, his wide eyes filled with turmoil. He murmured, almost to himself, “Is this… the truth? How… how could this be?”
