Chapter 905

    ?Chapter 905:

Tears burned in my eyes. “What are you saying? You’ll die if we don’t get help!”

My mind screamed for me to save him, to do anything but leave him here.

Yet, Alden summoned what little strength he had left, his grip tightening around my wrist. There was a silent plea in his eyes, his voice barely more than a whisper. “Take me somewhere secluded… away from prying eyes…”

With no time to hesitate and the soldiers closing in, I clenched my jaw, hoisted the weakened Alden onto his feet, and hastily led him away from the beach.

Following his lead, I kept a firm grip on him as we staggered into a deserted alleyway, shrouded in shadows and eerily silent.

The alley reeked of damp decay, the air thick with the musty scent of rotting leaves, like the remnants of a long-forgotten autumn.

The moment we stepped into the alley, Alden’s body gave out, his legs buckling as he crumpled to the ground.

“Alden!” I gasped in terror, dropping to my knees beside him. “Please, don’t do this! Stay with me! What should I do? Tell me!”

My hands trembled in the air, hovering uselessly over him, paralyzed by uncertainty and fear.

Alden’s eyelids fluttered, and when he finally forced them open, his voice was a mere whisper. “Take… the knife out…”

The words sent a cold shiver down my spine. I recoiled, shaking my head furiously. “I can’t! I—I don’t know how! What if it makes things worse? What if you die?”

I teetered on the edge of panic, my vision blurred by the steady stream of tears I could no longer hold back.

Alden clenched his jaw, his features twisting in pain. “If you don’t… I will die.”

I stared at him, my hands trembling in the air, torn between fear and desperation. I wanted to help—but what if I did it wrong?

    ????????????’?? ????????: ?????????ν?????????????

Seeing my hesitation, a fierce determination flickered in Alden’s eyes. Clenching his jaw, he summoned thest of his strength, his bloodied fingers wrapping around the knife handle. Then, without a moment’s pause, he wrenched the knife from his abdomen.

“Ah!” I cried out, recoiling in horror as I stumbled backward, my heart pounding wildly in my chest.

Blood poured from his wound, sttering the ground in vivid crimson. Alden gasped for air, each ragged breath draining what little strength he had left, his chest rising and falling in strained, uneven motions.

I scrambled back to his side, my eyes red and swollen with tears as I clutched his trembling hand. “Alden, please don’t do this! Tell me—what should I do?”

Alden’s lips parted slightly, struggling to speak, but only a faint, rasping hiss escaped. His strength was fading fast, the blood loss stealing his voice before he could utter a single word.

His breathing turned shallow and erratic, each gasp weaker than thest, as if he teetered on the very edge of death.

Seeing him like this, my heart clenched with unbearable pain. If not for saving me, Alden wouldn’t be suffering like this… The guilt weighed on me like a crushing tide, drowning me in helplessness. But just then, a brilliant burst of white light exploded around Alden, so intense that I instinctively raised my arms to shield my eyes.

When I dared to look again, my breath caught in my throat—Alden’s wound was closing before my very eyes! The deep gash that had been spilling blood mere…

Moments ago, the wound was now sealing itself, as if some unseen force was stitching him back together.
