Chapter 838

    ?Chapter 838:

Jett gradually found his rhythm, gripping my hips as he began to thrust steadily into me. Each movement sent a wave of pleasure crashing through my body.

I tilted my head back, lost in the sensations coursing through me, only for Jett to capture my lips with his. The wave of pleasure intensified as his kiss deepened.

His thrusts never faltered as he pushed his hard length deep into my cervix.

“Mm… you’re going too deep,” I gasped, my eyes widening in panic.

This seemed to bring Jett a moment of rity, and he eased his movements. Yet, even as he slowed, waves of pleasure formed again in my abdomen with each thrust.

I gazed into Jett’s eyes, pletely overwhelmed by the pleasure consuming me.

    Makenna’s POV:

After a long time, the drug’s effects lingering in my system finally faded. I hurriedly dressed, only to find Jett—typically the embodiment ofposure—lookingpletely rattled.

Silence hung thick in the air like morning fog. After what seemed like an eternity, Jett’s voice cracked through the tension. “I’m sorry. I don’t know how it happened…”

Though initially gripped by regret myself, the sight of the usually collected Jett fumbling for words sent me into unexpectedughter. His uncharacteristic awkwardness somehow dispelled my own unease. Clearing my throat, I said firmly, “Let’s chalk this up to circumstance. We’ll pretend it never happened—just maintain some personal space going forward.”

“Okay.” Jett’s slight nod carried the weight of his remorse.

In the aftermath of our encounter, his injuries seemed to have vanished without a trace.

Catching his eye meaningfully, I whispered, “Keep up appearances of weakness. We can’t afford suspicion.”

    ???????? ???? ???????????????? ???????? ?g???????ν?????????????

Understanding flickered across his face as he nodded in agreement.

After settling our dues at the clinic, I yed along, supporting a seemingly weakened Jett as we emerged from the ramshackle building. In this sparsely popted fishing vige, we stuck out like sore thumbs in our bedraggled state, the briny ocean air clinging to our clothes like an unwee second skin.

By some stroke of luck, our wallets had survived their ocean dip—a tiny mercy amid the chaos.

The vige’s eastern edge housed a modest general store. We slipped inside, carefully selecting the most affordable attire before retreating to the back to change.

I smoothed my disheveled hair and cast a sidelong nce at Jett. Life had returned to his features, his appearance now more presentable, far less likely to draw unwanted attention.

Jett and I scanned the destendscape before us. We’d stumbled upon a forgotten realm at the bordends between the territories of the wizards and werewolves—and so isted that even the bitter feud between the two ns hadn’t touched its shores.

“Makenna, what’s your next move?” Jett’s question cut through my thoughts.

My temples throbbed as reality crashed down—exile from the werewolf n was one thing, but Grace’s peril gnawed at my conscience like a festering wound.

“Grace needs us, but we’re powerless like this. How can we possibly mount a rescue?”

A shadow fell across Jett’s features at the mention of Grace. His voice emerged strained, heavy with unspoken words. “Makenna, Grace… she’s not worth gambling your life away. Survival muste first; revenge can wait.”
