?Chapter 833:
Then came the sound that changed everything—a thunderous crash as we struck an outcropping. The car spun wildly, parts scattering like fallen stars as we hurtled toward the cliff’s edge.
I could only watch in horror as the sky wheeled above us, before the dark waters rushed up to swallow us whole.
The sea crashed in, bitter cold shocking my system. Something struck my head with brutal force, and consciousness slipped away like smoke on the wind.
Bryan’s POV:
Blood trailing in my wake, I staggered into the pce’s grand hall, Dominic and yton limping beside me, their wounds matching my own.
Despite being the n’s finest warriors, our father’s army had overwhelmed us with sheer numbers. Now, battered and exhausted from ruthless battle, we stood as prisoners in our own home, surrounded by guards.
Antoni, that conniving bastard, was a mess of his own making. Blood poured from the gaping wound in his hand, his face contorted in a mask of pain and bitter hatred.
I released a contemptuous snort, my gaze sliding to the semi-conscious woman held captive behind us. If my instincts were right, she was Makenna’s aplice in this borate escape.
The grand hall crackled with tension, thick enough to choke on.
Father, perched on his throne like a storm cloud ready to burst, surveyed us with eyes that burned with royal fury.
Antoni, ever the opportunist, broke the suffocating silence first. Clutching his wound, venom dripping from every word, he spat, “Your Majesty, your sons havemitted high treason! They orchestrated Makenna’s escape!”
A coldugh escaped my throat as I fixed Antoni with an arctic stare. “Rich wordsing from you, Antoni. Weren’t you supposed to be confined to your home? Or did you simply disregard my father’s orders?”
???????????? ???? ?????? ???????? ??????????: ?????????ν???????????????
Father’s expression darkened to thunderous proportions, his voice cracking like lightning through the hall. “Antoni, exin yourself!”
Antoni copsed to his knees with theatrical grace, his voice dripping with false sincerity. “Your Majesty, news of the pce crisis drove me to action. I sought only to ease your burden by capturing Makenna myself, but the princes thwarted my efforts! I beg you to investigate this treachery!”
Dominic’s lips curled into a mocking smile as he regarded Antoni with unveiled contempt. “My, my, Antoni. Yourwork of spies serves you well. Not a whisper escapes your notice. Perhaps you should be the owner of the pce—your talents for espionage are clearly unmatched.”
Antoni’splexion drained to ash as he prostrated himself before my father, desperation cracking his voice. “Your Majesty, my loyalty runs as deep as ancient roots!”
“I sought only to apprehend Makenna—it was the princes who orchestrated her escape. I swear on my life, I’m innocent!”
His trembling finger used us, malice glinting in his eyes like poisoned daggers.
A contemptuousugh escaped my lips. Antoni resembled nothing more than a rabid wolf in a trap, thrashing and snarling, desperate to paint us as the viins of his tale.
“You three!” Father’s voice thundered through the hall, each word dripping with barely contained fury. “I ordered you confined, manded you to stand down. Yet you dare defy me and aid in Makenna’s escape?”
Before I could defend our actions, yton stepped forward, his voice ringing with conviction. “Father, Makenna is innocent!”
