Chapter 788

    ?Chapter 788:

I exhaled deeply, trying to divert the conversation to a different path. “Do you recall when Father locked away a pack of white wolves deep in our territory?”

Bryan’s brow furrowed as he cast me a confused nce. “Yes, I remember. But Father forbade us from going near them. He said they were a threat. Why bring this up now?”

I paused, contemting my next words carefully. “Makenna once told me that the white wolves were falsely used of instigating an uprising. If we can’t find Jett, perhaps those white wolves hold the answers we seek.”

I looked at both of them, my gaze unwavering, waiting for their reaction.

yton nodded ever so slightly, a quiet resolve in his eyes. “In that case, we’ll send our most trusted men to investigate the area.”

As the conversation turned to action, I remembered the warehouse incident Makenna had mentioned earlier, a concern that now weighed heavily on me. “And we must also look into that so-called loyal subordinate of the Lycan royal family.”

Bryan raised an eyebrow, confusion flickering in his expression. “You mean… Antoni?”

The three of us shared a nce, an unspoken understanding passing between us.

    Makenna’s POV:

The following morning, I awoke, a dull ache coursing through my body. As I opened my eyes, I found myself nestled in Dominic’s embrace. His arms enveloped me like a vice, his breath warm against the top of my head. Without thinking, I squirmed, trying to slip free—only to find myself trapped in his sleep.

Dominic’s eyelids fluttered open slowly, the remnants of sleep clouding his gaze. Noticing my struggles, he didn’t loosen his hold but instead drew me closer, a faint, amused smile dancing on his lips. “Up so early? Why not stay in bed a little longer?”

A wave of irritation surged through me, and I shot back, “Let me go!” Yet, it seemed he didn’t catch the irritation in my voice. He merely smiled fondly, leaning down to nt a soft kiss on my forehead. “Come on, don’t be stubborn. Close your eyes, rx, and sleep just a bit more.”

    ???????? ?????????????? ???????? ???? ?????????ν?????????????

I wrenched myself again, but his grip was unyielding, and no matter how I moved, it was as though my body was held captive by his strength.

Defeated, I sighed in resignation. “I need to go to the training room. I can’t stay here with you, or I’ll bete.”

Dominic’s brow archedzily. “It’s already taken care of. You’re excused from the training for the next few days. All I need from you is to stay here with me.”

That only fueled my resistance further, and I began to struggle harder, trying to break free from his hold.

But he was unruffled. Watching me fight, he yfully pinched my cheek. “Not the least bit curious about the remaining white wolf n members?”

His words struck a chord, sparking my curiosity, but also my annoyance at being so obviously manipted by him.

In a fit of frustration, I bit his arm, the move impulsive and sharp. “Ouch—” Dominic hissed in pain, but instead of being angry, he chuckled. “Bite me all you want; just don’t ignore me.”

At that moment, I couldn’t take any more of his antics, and I relented. “Fine. I won’t leave, but I need breakfast. Will you let me go now?”

“Of course.” Dominic grinned, kissing me on the lips before adding…

“Breakfast is ready, just waiting for you toe down.”

Then, before I could protest, he lifted me effortlessly in his arms.

“Ah—” I squeaked, instinctively wrapping my arms around his neck, my cheeks burning with a mixture of embarrassment and annoyance. “Put me down! I can walk on my own!”
