Chapter 782

    ?Chapter 782:

Dominic’s gaze didn’t soften in the slightest. His voice was as cold as a winter’s night. “Her affairs are none of your concern from now on.” With a casual flick of his hand, he motioned for Evelyn to make her exit without dy.

At his dismissal, Evelyn wilted, her dignity crumbling. Covering her face, she fled, tears spilling down her cheeks.

As I watched Evelyn retreat, a wry smile tugged at my lips. Turning to Dominic, I couldn’t resist prodding him. “Why don’t you run after her? You seemed so invested in her well-being before.”

Dominic sighed, his voiceced with weary patience. “You know full well that we only cared for Evelyn because her sister once saved us.” I gave a curt nod, unimpressed.

What did that have to do with me now? The princes’ matters no longer concerned me.

Spinning on my heel, I moved to leave, eager to escape the web of his entanglements. But Dominic stepped forward swiftly, his arm stretching out to bar my way.

For a fleeting moment, his icy demeanor softened, his voice tinged with a mix of sorrow and pleading. “Makenna, please, can we talk?”

I nced up, catching a fleeting glimmer of helplessness and sorrow buried within his usually distant, enigmatic eyes.

In that instant, a faint pang tugged at my heart, but I brushed it aside, keeping myposure icy as I said firmly, “There’s nothing to discuss. Step aside.”

He shook his head, resolute. “I’m not here to rehash that night in the warehouse. This is about something else. Are you keeping your distance and harboring resentment because of the feud between the white wolf n and the Lycan royal family?”

My brow arched in defiance, my voice sharp as a dagger. “What if I don’t feel like answering?”

    ???????????? ???????????? ????????: ??????????????????[?]??????

Dominic let out a low chuckle, a knowing smile tugging at his lips. “Oh, you’ll answer,” he said, his tone dripping with confidence. “Because some members from the white wolf n are still alive. They’re being held in the Lycan royal family’s most secretive and imprable prison. If you want to learn more, you’ll have to y my game.”

His words hit me like a thunderp. I froze, my eyes narrowing as suspicion red.

Could some members from the white wolf n truly still be alive? The thought seemed impossible, almost too far-fetched to believe. Was Dominic lying to me?

    Evelyn’s POV:

Swallowing the bile of disdain threatening to spill, I hurried away, donning the mask of a wronged soul.

Only when I was certain that Dominic and Makenna were no longer in sight did I slow my pace. A sly smile unfurled across my lips, like a flower blooming in shadows.

“Ugh, it’s so frustrating having to put on a ttering smile for the princes every single day!”

I muttered under my breath, my eyes fixed on the ground as if weighed down by my own grievances. “And that Makenna! She’s no better than an albatross around my neck. If not for her, I wouldn’t have been dragged into this gilded cage to serve those insufferable Lycans!”

My strides quickened, carrying me toward the pce gates. Each step wasced with a simmering resentment as I voiced myints in a low voice.

A sleek car waiting outside the pce loomed like a loyal sentinel. Gathering my skirt delicately, I slipped inside with the grace of someone used to hiding their true intentions behind a polished exterior.
