    Kaiden watched her reaction and couldn’t hide his amusement.


    He intentionally gripped her ankle, making sure she felt every bit of his “service.” It wasn’t long before Ellie waspletely overwhelmed and shoved him away in a disorganized manner.


    “Enough. Stop massaging!” It was just too ticklish!


    Kaiden kept his hand on her left leg while his other hand supported Ellie’s body to keep her from straining her back.


    “Why did you shy away from it? Mrs. Thorpe, didn’t you ask for a massage?”


    Ellie grumbled, “Your massage is really ufortable.”


    Kaiden leaned in and whispered softly, “How would you prefer to befortable?”


    He was so close that Ellie could feel his breath on her skin.


    “Ayden, do you want to lose your job?” Ellie said, her face stern.


    Kaiden then realized he had crossed the line for a cook.


    He took a step back and said, “Sorry,” without much sincerity.


    Kaiden stood to the side, gazing at Ellie with a serious look.


    He could clearly tell she was testing him.


    He had thought it through carefully and found no mistakes. Even if she had doubts, his unusual appearance the night before should have cleared things up. In other words, if Ellie had known who he really was, she would have exposed him and kicked him out.
