?Chapter 1095:
“Are you thinking aboutst night?”
The unexpected question threw Ellie off bnce.
She choked on her drink.
Kaiden, sitting beside her, quickly patted her back and shot a frosty nce at June.
June looked puzzled and hesitantly asked, “Ma’am, did I… say something wrong? I thought you wanted an update onst night’s award ceremony!”
Ellie awkwardly cleared her throat a few times.
She had assumed June was referring to Kaiden visiting her room the previous night!
She wasn’t even sure if Kaiden had closed the door when he kissed her.
As she remembered this, she felt a sudden stiffness in her body.
The warmth from the hand on her back was intense.
It felt like the person patting her was not May.
It turned out to be Ayden.
Ellie chose to ignore his unprofessional behavior and asked June, “What’s the update?”
“There are two updates. Someizens are praising you, calling you amazing, wealthy, beautiful, and well-connected. They also mentioned how impressive you looked handling Akirast night!” Ellie smiled but was barely interested.
“And the other update?”
June looked at Kaiden and noticed he didn’t stop her. Talking about Kaiden in front of him made her more enthusiastic.
“The other update is that someizens are specting about who assisted you!”
“Wasn’t it Edwin and Freddy? And Omiros too?”
“Not that!” June rified. “The one who helped you out of the guest seat!”
Ellie’s heart raced. “What are they… saying?”

“The buzz online is that Mr. Thorpe is the one who helped you!” Kaiden was taken aback.
Ellie gripped her ss tightly.
May and June watched Ellie and Kaiden. They were eager to see their reactions.
“Ayden, what’s your take on this?” Ellie asked out of the blue.
“What’s my take on what?” Kaiden asked.
“Do you think the one who helped me was Kaiden?” Kaiden twirled his wedding ring around his finger.
After a brief pause, he said with a sigh, “Yes.”
That was all he replied to her question: a simple “yes.” Ellie bit her lip and remained silent.
She sat by the window and drifted off to sleep without realizing it.
Kaiden quietly brought a nket and carefully covered Ellie.
Just as he was about to leave, a delicate hand suddenly grasped his wrist.
It was clear whether it was a man’s or a woman’s wrist.
Ellie realized that the person whose wrist she was holding wasn’t May or June. If it wasn’t Kaiden, would May and June allow just any man to take such good care of her?
Ellie felt even more certain about his identity.
