?Chapter 1083:
The people around them began to shift their perception of Akira. Ellie was pregnant and blind. If Akira had seeded in tripping her… it could have been catastrophic!
Akira’s face darkened even further, unaware that her troubles were just beginning.
“Move forward!” The man’s voice was steady, gentle yetmanding.
In the dim light, therge screens on either side disyed only the silhouette of a tall, upright man, his arm supporting Ellie’s hand. The ck shirt he wore entuated Ellie’s hand, making it look even more delicate and graceful, like the petals of a flower.
Their faces remained obscured, but their matching silhouettes created a strikingly beautiful image.
As they made their way down the aisle, Ellie suddenly realized something. “You’re not Edwin!”
Ellie’s hand pulled back from the man’s arm.
The mask concealed most of the man’s face, with his cold, gentle eyes slightly cast down.
As soon as Ellie spoke, Edwin chimed in immediately.
“Ellie, what’s wrong?”
His tone was confident, without a trace of shame, and he came across as very convincing.
The others could only see the trio standing in the spot where they were supposed to head to the stage, unable to hear their conversation.
“Ellie, it’s me, Omiros. I’m here to help you get up there to ept your award.” Omiros appeared from a hidden spot.
He took Kaiden’s ce and gave him a wink, as if to say, “See, I made it just in time.”
Freddy, who had pushed his way through the crowd and was almost to Ellie, suddenly stopped.
Despite the ck mask and understated outfit, Freddy immediately recognized the man next to Ellie as Kaiden.
With Kaiden’s presence, Freddy realized he need not worry about Ellie.

Omiros stepped up and slid his right arm under Ellie’s left hand. “Ellie, watch out for the stairs ahead.”
The host repeated Ellie’s name over the loudspeaker.
Ellie couldn’t stall any longer, and with Omiros guiding her, she moved forward.
Her gown dragged on the floor, and Edwin crouched down to lift its skirts.
“Who’s the one supporting Ellie? A new face from the Peerless Grace team?”
“Is the one lifting her skirts a staff member? Why isn’t he in uniform?”
“Oh my gosh! That’s Edwin lifting the skirts.”
“The person helping Ellie seems familiar.”
“That’s Omiros, the top esports yer at the moment. Those hands supporting Ellie are insured for millions.”
The crowd below buzzed with murmurs of surprise.
Ellie’s eptance speech was brief, formal, and full of pride.
The host had initially nned to stir up interest during the Q&A by mentioning Ellie’s blindness after her speech.
But with Edwin and Omiros standing watch at the stage’s edge, and Freddy having shown up unexpectedly, the host decided to stay quiet. Ellie, not hearing the host’s words, looked at him with confusion.
