Chapter 1041

    ?Chapter 1041:

She smiled. “But I’ve already asked Baylee out. Are you sure you want to join us?”

Kaiden chuckled in mock annoyance. His gaze was fixed on Ellie.

So, she had already arranged things with Baylee and was using that as an excuse to turn him down? Work? Who cared about work!

Kaiden sighed and said in resignation, “If you invite me, I’ll carry your bags and foot the bill.”

    “I have money for shopping.”

As for carrying bags, wasn’t there home delivery? Why would she have to invite him?

Kaiden put his hands on his hips. He was too frustrated to speak.

“I can’t see well right now. I need someone to help me pick out clothes and check the styles.” Ellie was practically admitting that she didn’t trust Kaiden’s fashion sense!

“You look good in anything,” Kaiden replied. “There’s no need to choose.” Despite the offhandpliment, Ellie couldn’t help but smile.

“Kaiden, is it so hard to just say you want toe with me?” She wrapped her arms around his neck, tilting her head up slightly. “Tell me you want toe with me, and I might consider ditching Baylee!” Their faces were close as she said this.

Kaiden looked down, leaned in, and gently kissed her lips.

“Yes, I want toe with you,” he conceded quickly.

Ellie had no words. His rapid confession oddly robbed her of the expected fulfillment. Shouldn’t there be a bit of resistance?

Kaiden wrapped his arm around her waist, picked up her phone from the table, and handed it to her.

“Here’s your phone. Call Baylee.” There was urgency in his voice.

    Ellie hesitated briefly.

    Then she took her phone.

Using voicemand on her phone, Ellie called Baylee.

Having been close friends for several years, Baylee dly epted when she found out that Ellie was going shopping with Kaiden.

Luxurious shopping malls bustled with high-end and exclusive brands, catering to the affluent, often resulting in sparse foot traffic. These malls garnered substantial profits from a select clientele.

Since it was the summer season, Ellie wearing sunsses was not unusual. It allowed her to conceal her blindness without raising questions from others about why she wore them.

Though she wasn’t entirely confident in Kaiden’s fashion sense, she primarily soughtfortable maternity pants.

“Ma’am, your husband clearly adores you. It’s rare to see husbands picking out clothes for their wives!” The sales clerkplimented warmly.

Ellie smiled faintly. “What do you think of my husband’s choices?”

The clerk praised the selections and detailed the positive attributes of each style.

Ellie mentally pictured the clothes as the clerk described them, trying to imagine how they would look. She wasn’t sure how they would fit, but at least they wouldn’t be unattractive.

“Do you need to get underwear too?” Kaiden nced from her face to her chest. “They’ve definitely grown.”
