Chapter 956

    ?Chapter 956:

“Drive our car towards theirs and stop them!” Elliemanded Babette.

Babette didn’t dare to obey as Ellie was a delicate, pregnant woman.

Before working closely with Ellie, Babette had assumed Kaiden’s wife was a refined youngdy—elegant and delicate. Even if Ellie could fight, it would likely be for self-defense or enjoyment. It wasn’t until now that Babette realized this noble and elegantdy was both sharp and decisive!

Babette understood Ellie’s intention. She just wanted Kaiden to see her.

    Babette honked the horn.

    Beep!

As soon as the horn sounded, the Rolls-Royce Phantom came to a stop. The back door opened, and Kaiden stepped out.

Babette nced in the rearview mirror at Ellie and rolled down the window. Kaiden noticed the car immediately. Without seeing the license te, he sensed it was his car—the one Ellie had taken.

The window rolled down, revealing Ellie’s cold eyes. She pressed her lips together. She was clearly upset.

There was a stretch of road separating the two cars. Ellie peered over Kaiden’s shoulder and spotted the car trailing the Rolls-Royce. The car’s window was down, and two women sat in the back. She didn’t recognize one of them. The other was Carole!

As Kaiden was still crossing the road, Ellie said, “Babette, let’s go! Now!” Her voice was icy.

    Babette hesitated briefly.

When Kaiden reached the middle of the road, he saw the Bentley speeding away. He was left speechless.

Pregnancy had worsened Ellie’s temper. The book had been right about pregnancy making women more emotional.

The Rolls-Royce Phantom followed closely behind the Bentley as they returned to Moon Manor.

Before Ellie could return to the main building, Kaiden caught up with her.

    forward without uttering a word.

Kaiden lifted her and ced her in a chair in the garden, his grip so firm that Ellie couldn’t shake him off.

Cayson, who hade out to greet them, went back inside the main building.

“El,” Kaiden said with a frown.

Turning her head away, Ellie looked elsewhere, her expression cold. Kaiden ced his hand on her slightly swollen belly and asked, “How did the checkup go?”

But it seemed Ellie didn’t hear him. The atmosphere was tense.

“Ellie, are you giving me the silent treatment?” Kaiden sighed, his tone sounding helpless.

Giving someone the silent treatment wasn’t a good sign in any kind of rtionship.

Ellie took a deep breath and turned to ask, “Who are you to me?”

    Kaiden was perplexed.

Ellie reminded him, “Are you the president who lied about going to work? Or the husband who didn’t apany his wife to the prenatal checkup because of another woman?”

Kaiden ced his hand back on her belly and said, “I’m the father of our child.”

“Really?” Ellie responded coldly. “My child can grow up without a father. My brothers and sister will be d to raise him!”
