?Chapter 933:
Initially, Levy had no intention of reading it, but his attention was drawn to the name on the lecture schedule, “Flossie Yount.”
“Mr. Sanders, what’s up?” the staff member asked, puzzled as Levy suddenly stood up.
“Find me a private spot,” he requested.
Ten minutester, dressed in a smart suit, Flossie took the stage and began her speech.
The topic centered on the research and development of new pharmaceuticals. This was a project of her PhD mentor. The original speaker had had an ident, so Flossie was asked to step in.
Her speech was witty, often delving into the challenges and sense of aplishment in scientific research. Behind the curtain, it was the first time Levy had seen Flossie in this light—professional and self-assured, standing there like a beacon. She was radiant and exuded a warmth that captivated everyone’s attention.
Suddenly, Levy noticed Flossie’s right hand. Wrapped around her wrist was a wide, dark ribbon, which didn’t match her attire for the day. It seemed out of ce.
The wide ribbon made it difficult to notice the bandage underneath.
Levy frowned, realizing that her injury hadn’t fully healed yet.
In that instant, Flossie’s gazended on the empty chair in the front row. She visibly hesitated for a few seconds. Recognizing her oversight, she swiftly shifted tactics and encouraged the audience to ask questions openly.
Her demeanor was no longer asposed as before.
It dawned on Levy all at once; his namete was supposed to be on that chair!
Levy wished he had told the staff member to take away his chair.
Since noticing the namete “Levy Sanders” on the unupied chair, Flossie had been somewhat distracted. She kept reminding herself of the importance of her job but also felt relieved that Levy was absent. If he were there, she feared she might mess up her impromptu speech.
“Miss Yount, would you like to lead the new project in ourpany?” a middle-aged man in the front row suddenly asked. He was Kase Acosta, the CEO of a top-tier pharmaceutical research and development firm.

Flossie had a ster reputation as a gifted researcher in the pharmaceutical field. After Kase spoke, several otherpanies immediately offered her job opportunities as well.
Smiling, Flossie replied, “I am focused on developing new drugs for rare diseases. Are you willing to do that?”
“You must be joking, Miss Yount. I’m afraid no one here is willing to take that on,” Kase said, ncing at Levy’s empty seat. “Even Mr. Sanders has publicly stated that the returns on investment for new drugs for rare diseases are too low to cover the costs.”
When Flossie heard this, her smile faltered. It felt like fate was mocking her, implying that she was not meant to be with Levy.
In the corner, hidden away, sat Levy, his expression stiffening.
“In this world, there will always be someone who understands me and shares my ideals,” Flossie dered. She refrained from mentioning that Ellie was the person she was alluding to.
