?Chapter 931:
Levy pulled out a few tubes of premium ointment. “Can you give these to her, Ellie? Don’t mention they’re from me.”
Ellie didn’t take them but looked at Levy with curiosity.
“I owe it to her. It’s the least I can do,” said Levy.
“I’ve already prepared these for Flossie,” Ellie replied. “Thank you for your concern, Mr. Sanders.”
Levy nodded without saying anything.
As Levy walked away, Ellie turned and whispered to Kaiden, “Levy still can’t forget Flossie.” Her voice had a hint of irritation.
Since Katharine had said she didn’t want Ellie to catch the smell of booze, no one dared to drink with Kaiden today. Instead of wine, they poured water for Kaiden during toasts.
Kaiden went along with this. He didn’t want to smell of booze and upset Ellie either.
As a result, he had plenty of time tonight to be by Ellie’s side.
“You figured it out?” Kaiden asked casually.
“Flossie went to the hospital owned by Theo’s family for her injury. Levy could have asked Theo directly for details, but he came to me instead,” Ellie snorted.
Kaiden looked at Ellie, surprised.
He seemed taken aback by her sudden insight.
Ellie was puzzled. “Why are you looking at me like that?”
“Weren’t you always a bit slow before?”
Ellie bristled at his words. “When was I ever slow? I’m very smart…”
Before she could finish, Ellie realized Kaiden meant she was unaware of other men’s feelings for her. It was true; she had never considered it before. She was ustomed to insincerity in this social circle. She knew she had been famous. Who could tell if those men liked her for herself or for her looks and reputation?
After it had been revealed that she wasn’t the daughter of the Gordon family, Ellie never thought anyone would truly like her.

Sensing her thoughts, Kaiden gently patted her head. “Ellie, you might not realize it, but the title of a top socialite means nothingpared to who you are.”
