Chapter 902

    ?Chapter 902:

“Are you serious?” Ellie raised an eyebrow at her. “The equipment and thetest rare materials together are worth millions. So, you want to work for me for free for the next ten years?”

Flossie almost nodded. After all, where else could she find such a supportive boss as Ellie?

“You don’t need topensate,” Ellie said icily. “I’ll have Thomasina cover the costs!”

Upon reaching the hospital with Flossie, Theo, who had been waiting anxiously, hurried over to them.

    “Ellie, are you injured?”

“Not me.” Ellie gestured toward Flossie beside her. “It’s my friend here.”

“Miss Yount,” Theo eximed with surprise upon seeing Flossie.

“Mr. Stephens,” Flossie acknowledged, remembering Theo from a party she had attended with Levy.

Without dy, Theo instructed the prepared doctor to examine Flossie’s wound.

As Ellie waited outside the consultation room, the air reeked of disinfectant and medicine, making her nauseous. She would have preferred to wait outside the hospital but couldn’t shake her concern for Flossie.

“Should I let Levy know Flossie got hurt? Levy’s here at the hospital,” Theo asked.

“No need to update him. He’s just her ex,” Ellie replied unhappily.

Theo scratched his nose awkwardly. He assumed Levy cared about Flossie, forgetting that Ellie always defended those close to her.

Before Theo could say another word, a tall figure hurried over. Before Ellie could see who it was, she found herself suddenly embraced.

“Kaiden, don’t worry. It’s a misunderstanding! Ellie isn’t hurt. It’s Flossie,” Theo quickly rified.

He had informed Kaiden after receiving Ellie’s call. Kaiden tensed up, but upon hearing the rification, he gradually rxed. Patients and their families waiting nearby couldn’t help but nce at them, as both Kaiden and Ellie were striking figures. Someone even grinned yfully.

Ellie felt a mix of amusement and warmth.

“I thought you were causing trouble again, Ellie,” Kaiden said as he released her and gently brushed her hair. “You always worry me.”

“I’m innocent,” Ellie protested, pouting. “I told you thest fight was just an ident.”

“Ellie, there have been many ‘idents’ like that,” Kaiden remarked.

Theo remained silent, feeling like he was witnessing a public disy of affection.

After half an hour, Flossie emerged from the consultation room, her wounds now treated.

“Mr. Stephens, where is El?” she asked, noticing Ellie’s absence.

“Kaiden took her outside to get some fresh air,” Theo exined. Kaiden knew Ellie disliked the hospital’s smell, so he had asked Theo to stay while he took her outside.
