?Chapter 885:
“Ugh!” Baylee cried out in pain.
“Baylee!”
Then silence descended. Momentster, a gasp broke the quiet.
“Ellie is pregnant. Aphrodite almost…” The party organizer’s voice quivered with fear. “Quick! Get in touch with Kaiden immediately.”
If Baylee hadn’t intervened, Aphrodite’s blow would havended on Ellie’s waist and belly.
That could have endangered Ellie’s unborn baby.
“I didn’t know she was pregnant,” Aphrodite stammered, shocked upon hearing about Ellie’s pregnancy, dropping the stick to the floor.
“Get a doctor here,” Quincy instructed with a furrowed brow.
It was Quincy who called out Baylee’s name.
Everyone could see how worried and troubled Quincy was in that moment. But his concern only made Baylee feel worse.
“Baylee, how are you holding up?” Ellie held onto Baylee, who had shielded her from the blow and was now in considerable pain, barely able to stand.
“Baylee…” Quincy murmured.
“Leave, Quincy!”
Quincy moved towards Baylee but was immediately halted by Ellie’s firm voice.
Ellie’s eyes held a chilling mix of anger and coldness.
Aphrodite, with her injured leg bent, clutched at Quincy’s clothes nervously. “Ellie, I… I didn’t know you were pregnant. You started it by bullying me first, so I defended myself. I…”
Aphrodite wondered if Kaiden would make her suffer if he found out.
“You didn’t mention you were pregnant, Ellie. And this isn’t the first time you’veid a finger on Aphrodite,” Quincy stated.
Baylee couldn’t hold back her tears any longer, her eyes and nose stinging. She buried her head in Ellie’s shoulder, crying uncontrobly. The pain was unbearable.
Baylee’s back was throbbing, and it felt like her bones were shattered. “Damn, I was really blind back then. Falling for such a jerk!” Baylee whispered quietly.
She wiped her tears, took a deep breath, and slowly got to her feet.
“Baylee,” Ellie said, sounding concerned.
Clutching Ellie’s hand, Baylee turned to Quincy and Aphrodite, saying, “Aphrodite nearly killed me with the others. Can I get back at her?” Ellie hadn’t mentioned it earlier because she didn’t want to reopen Baylee’s old wounds. But now, Baylee was taking the lead.
She didn’t name the “others” because she remembered the agreement she had made with Katharine: Carole went abroad, and the incident was left in the past. So, Baylee didn’t intend to bring it up in the first ce.
